A Lagoon catamaran in the BVI costs $12,650 to $84,000 a week for the yacht and crew. That is the listed range across the 83 Lagoons on this site that cruise the BVI, from 38 to 78 feet, sleeping 6 to 10 guests.
71 of the 83 are all-inclusive, so food, bar, fuel and moorings are in the number; the rest add an APA of about 25%.
There is no VAT on a BVI charter.
Lagoon is the brand most crewed catamarans in the BVI are, which is why the range is so wide and why the price of one tells you so little about another. The sections below sort it out by size, by age and by who is aboard.
38 to 49 feet: 14 boats, $12,650 to $23,000. Couples and small families.
50 to 59 feet: 35 boats, $17,900 to $43,000. The BVI’s most common crewed catamaran.
60 to 69 feet: 29 boats, $33,000 to $61,000. Where the ten-guest boats are.
70 to 78 feet: 5 boats, $69,000 to $84,000. The Seventy 7s and the one Seventy 8.
Every yacht named on this page is linked to its listing with the live rate. We are an independent brokerage with access to every yacht on the market, so this list is the market, not one owner’s fleet.
What stands out when you step aboard a Lagoon?
The first thing you notice on a modern Lagoon is light. The saloon windows are vertical rather than raked, so the main deck feels like a room with a view rather than a cabin, and the flybridge above it is a second living room.
We have been aboard AEOLUS 77, a 2024 Seventy 7, and SIETE MARES, a 2025 Seventy 8. On AEOLUS it was the saloon, bright and open enough that one of us called it a floating palace, and a crew of four whose dining we would put against any restaurant ashore.
On SIETE MARES it was the execution. Her hostess won the year’s tablescape competition with a Nordic theme, and the boat took four awards in one show, including Best in Show for her size.
The second thing is how alike the hulls are. A 2024 Lagoon 65 is the same boat whichever owner runs it, so what separates one Lagoon from another in the BVI is the crew, the year and the toy locker.
Which Lagoon models exist, and which can you charter in the BVI?
Lagoon began in 1984 as the multihull division of Jeanneau and is now a brand of Groupe Beneteau, built in Bordeaux. It is the largest catamaran builder in the world, which is why the boat you picture when someone says catamaran is usually a Lagoon.
The current sailing range is the 43, 46, 51, 55, 60, Sixty 5 and Seventy 7, with the Sixty 7 and Seventy 8 as the power versions. Beam grows with length: a 46 is 25 feet 10 inches wide, a 51 is 26 feet 7, a 55 is 29 feet 6, a Sixty 5 is 32 feet 10.
In the BVI the fleet runs from a 38 to the Seventy 8. 5 boats of 70 feet and over, 29 between 60 and 69 feet (mostly 620s and 65s), 35 between 50 and 59, and 14 below 50.
The older 620 and 560 are still common here, well kept and refitted, and that is where the lowest prices sit.
What does a Lagoon Seventy 7 cost per week in the BVI?
A Lagoon Seventy 7 in the BVI costs $69,000 to $84,000 a week, yacht and crew, for eight guests in four cabins. Five Lagoons of 77 to 78 feet cruise here, and they are the biggest production catamarans you can charter in the islands.
AEOLUS 77 and ODYSSEY are the two sailing Seventy 7s based here year-round, both at $84,000. JAN’S FELINE is the Seventy 8 power version, built 2025, at $76,000.
SEMPER LUX, a 2019 Seventy 7, is the value pick at $74,000. REVA NUI, a 2025 at $69,000, summers in the Mediterranean and is here for the winter only.
All five take eight guests; if you are ten, the next section is yours. These are also the boats that book first, and one of our brokers who places AEOLUS regularly puts it plainly: these cats book up close to a year ahead.
Why do Lagoon prices in the BVI range so widely?
Because build years run from 2005 to 2027 on the same hull shapes. The spread is not the brand, it is the age of the boat, and whether the rate includes everything or not.
Take the 56- and 57-footers. VISION, refitted after a 2005 build, lists at $17,900 for eight guests.
A3, a 2016 Lagoon 56, lists at $31,000 for the same eight.
At 60 feet the story repeats. GRACE 60, a 2027 Lagoon 60, and MINTED ONE, a 2026, both list at $52,000.
The 2016 to 2018 Lagoon 620s, a couple of feet longer, list at $33,000 to $47,000.
Then the terms. 71 of the 83 Lagoons here are all-inclusive, so their number is close to what you pay.
On the rest, a 25% APA on top of a $44,000 boat is about $11,000 more before gratuity, so compare like with like before you call one of them cheap.
Which Lagoon takes ten guests?
The five-cabin Lagoon 65s take ten. SEAHOME II (2025, $61,000), ENDLESS SUMMER III (2024, $59,900), REVERIE (2025, $59,500) and JUSTIFIED HORIZONS (2021, $57,000) are the newest.
No Lagoon in the BVI sleeps twelve.
For ten on a smaller budget, the five-cabin 620s do it: DO MORE at $44,000, SEAHOME at $42,000, SAIL AWAY at $39,000. Same head count, older hull, around twenty thousand less.
If you are twelve, you are looking at a different builder. The Sunreef 80s MISCHIEVOUS and OHANA sleep twelve, and so do several power catamarans; our page on BVI catamarans with five equal cabins is the place to start.
Sailing or power Lagoon: which is right for the BVI?
Most Lagoons here are sailing catamarans, and for the BVI’s short hops that is no handicap. The power versions buy volume and speed: JAN’S FELINE is the Seventy 8 at $76,000, and the Sixty 7s run $34,000 to $39,900.
The 63- and 64-foot power Lagoons, MARE BLU (refit 2026), JAN’S FELION, PHILOTIMO and ULTRA, sit at the price of a sailing 620 and give you a wider saloon and a faster run to Anegada. If nobody in your group cares about the sail, they are the quiet bargain of this fleet.
Our comparison of sailing and power catamarans in the BVI goes deeper on the trade-off.
How does a Lagoon compare with a Fountaine Pajot, a Bali or a Sunreef?
At 60 to 69 feet the three production builders price alike in the BVI: Lagoon $33,000 to $61,000, Fountaine Pajot $34,000 to $60,000, Sunreef $26,000 to $67,000. Above 75 feet Lagoon stops at $84,000 and Sunreef runs to $112,000, and that gap is the Sunreef premium.
Lagoon gives you the widest choice and the most crews to choose from; there are more Lagoons in the BVI than any other builder, so the right crew for your group is more likely to be on one. Fountaine Pajot is the lighter, faster-sailing alternative at the same money.
Bali opens the whole main deck into one space with its tilt-up door, which families with small children tend to love. Sunreef is the step up: wider, finished to motor-yacht standard, semi-custom.
Our Sunreef guide for the BVI covers the step up, and which catamaran brand is best for a crewed BVI charter puts all four side by side.

Is a Lagoon right for a family, a group of friends, or a couple?
A family of eight: a 2023 to 2025 Lagoon 65 with four cabins, AURA at $60,000 or PALOMA at $59,900, which carries more guest reviews than any boat on this page. Ask us which crews run children’s programmes; it varies more than the boats do.
Ten friends: SEAHOME II, ENDLESS SUMMER III or REVERIE, five cabins each, $59,500 to $61,000.
Eight who want the best boat and crew: AEOLUS 77 at $84,000. Dining we would put against any restaurant ashore, and a crew we have watched win awards.
A couple, or two couples: a 46 to 52 at $12,650 to $27,000. Three cabins is plenty, and the money goes further on the crew.
If you are between two sizes, book the better crew, not the bigger boat. On a Lagoon the hulls are the constant; the week is made by the people on it.
What is included in a Lagoon charter rate, and what is not?
All-inclusive (71 of 83 boats). Food, a standard bar, fuel, moorings and water toys are in the rate.
This is the norm on BVI Lagoons, and it is the biggest practical difference from chartering the same boat in the Mediterranean.
Plus expenses (12 of 83). The rate covers yacht and crew only.
You pay an Advance Provisioning Allowance up front, usually 25%, and unspent APA comes back at the end.
Outside the rate either way: the cruising permit ($4 per person per day on a BVI-based yacht, $16 on a foreign-based one), National Parks moorings ($25 to $55 per boat per week), the $10 environmental levy, overnight moorings where you take one, and a crew gratuity of 15 to 20%. No VAT.
Our page on BVI charter fees has the full breakdown.
When should you book a Lagoon for the BVI?
Book a Seventy 7 or a five-cabin 65 a year ahead for Christmas and New Year, and six months out for any school-holiday week. The 620s and 560s are the boats still available late, and they are often the better-crewed ones for the money.
Six of the 83 Lagoons here are seasonal, in the BVI from about December to April and in the Mediterranean the rest of the year, so their calendars fill from both ends. The rate shown is the starting rate; the published season line for a specific week can sit above it, and we confirm it for your dates before you commit.

Why is one Lagoon $17,900 and another $84,000?
Size and age. The cheapest is a refitted 2005 57-footer for eight; the most expensive is a 2024 Seventy 7 for eight with a crew of four. Between them the price tracks the build year more than the length.
