Captain: Jason Collier
Captain Jason
ason was born just outside of Richmond, Virginia, in Hanover County. Growing up, he loved being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, but always felt particularly drawn to the sea. The experience that solidified his love of sailing and sharing memories on the water began in Punta Gorda, Florida, where at 19, he spent a week on a 32' Hunter Sailboat learning to sail and completing his ASA 101-104 certifications. It was at this point he knew he had a true passion for the sea and went on to join the U.S. Navy, enrolling in the "Quartermaster A-School," an intense navigation curriculum.
During his time in the Navy, he worked aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower as an assistant to the navigator, sailing overseas and exploring both the Persian Gulf and Europe. Throughout this time, his love for the sea, sense of adventure, and desire to travel only grew.
After his time in the Navy, Jason returned to his home state of Virginia and started Captain Collier's Seafood with his family, bringing a little of the ocean he loved so much to his customers. He also began working as a Realtor. During this period, he raised a son, now 26, worked day-to-day, and sought adventure wherever he could, but always found his way back to the ocean.
In 2020, itching to get back on the water after COVID-19 restrictions, and with weekend fishing trips on the river never being enough, Jason joined SailTime in Norfolk, VA—a fractional boat ownership program that provided him unlimited access to a 2018 Beneteau 35.1 named Blue Angel. By the fall of 2021, Jason signed up as crew for the NARC on a 65' Nautor Swan, completing the 2,000nm journey from Newport, RI, to St. Maarten. After spending some time in the Caribbean and falling in love with its crystal-blue waters, Jason decided he was ready for a life change and flew back to Virginia to close that chapter of his life.

What an unbelievable week! This trip for exceeding our expectation, the food, the adventures, the new friends. Truly – you two outdid yourselves! As Big Daddy said, you really are the best at what you do. We feel so lucky to have been the recipients of your hospitality. I am quite sure we will be talking about the exquisite meals, the beautiful hikes, the many snorkels, the games, the dinghy rides, and the tandem adventures with Deep Blue for many years to come! Thank you for welcoming us into your home for the week. We are definitely leaving with new friends and for that we are thankful. Best of luck on Heavenly! Hope to see you both again soon! Anne and Jason Sorrells.
Thank you for the most amazing five days. We really enjoyed getting to know you two and exploring the islands. Thank you for the delicious food, but most importantly for accommodating my dad (who’s eyes widened and potentially even glistened) at seeing every meal. I swear he hasn’t eaten that well in years.
I think we were all fascinated at your way of life, and at the true happiness you two express towards your work. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors (bigger boat – woo hoo!) Thank you again for everything.
With love, the Kimble family.
How does one say thank you for providing them with some of the most special moments of their lifetime? It's impossible. As everyone before me has mentioned, you are a skilled captain and a fabulous chef. More importantly, you are the curators of magical experiences and memories that we will appreciate forever.
I hope you both never forget the real value in what you do. You give families like mine the opportunity to fall in love with the ocean, and each other, over and over. Thank you for the kindness and patience you've shown my children and I. We wish you both endless love and happiness.
Truly,
Sarah, Ruben, Max, Rex, and Rocco.

Yes!
Thank you is not enough! This trip was needed more than you’ll know and your hospitality, a blessing to my soul. Thank you for the beautiful sailing, snorkeling, great drinks, food and comfortable accommodations. I wish you both a wonderful vacay for yourselves!
Thank you so much for the fabulous week, you blew our expectations out of the water! The locations Nick chose were perfect; a great combo or land and water activities. And you were always ready to get all the toys in the water. Just as important is getting out when places were overrun with the cruise ship people.! Amy's meals were magnificent! Thanks again for everything!
I'm trying to think of a favorite moment on this trip to thank you for, but I can't! Every moment was better than the last! From spotting turtles, to matcha caramel desserts, night snorkeling to a competitive hand of spot it!, the whole week has been heavenly. Thank you so much for your care and thoughtfulness. The seat at your bow will be my happy place for many years. Fair winds, Liza.
Thank you for such an unforgettable week and making us all feel at home! Loved every meal and every activity. Subwinging was awesome and turtle spotting was delightful. Both of your positive smiles and expert advice for making our trip the best experience possiblee were no doubt a big part of my family's experience on Lets Play Two! Thank you again for everything! - Kate
P.S. Ill be dreaming of that short rib meal!
This past week has been an adventure - I cannot thank Nick & Amy enough for the thoughtful, kind attention to every detail. The 5-star service, the food, the fun was awesome. S/V Let’s Play Two is a great boat, I love the front “porch.” I will be back!

We have loved this awesome week adventure!
Merry Christmas! - <3 The Rekitos
This was not the original boat we planned , but boy did we score with Nick and Amy! From the moment we met them we loved them. They were so fun and sweet. They truly catered to our wants and needs even with a short notice of our arrival.
The boat was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles. Everything was so luxurious and we were very pleased.
We truly built friendships with Amy and Nick, one we hope to continue for years to come! We will definitely be joining our Captain and 1’st mate again for another adventure. The food was outstanding. Captain took us to all the great spots to snorkel and see new things!
Highly- highly recommend them and the key lime pie!
Thank you Nick and Amy for making this a trip of a lifetime. Thank you for the friendship, laughs, good food and fun times!
Come visit in Cali!
Jim and Christine culwell
Forever your biggest key lime pie fan.
From the moment we stepped aboard we were showered with service. There were flowers, lattes, Turkish cotton towels, comfortable beds, top notch food and of course sailing to any spot we requested that allowed us to swim with turtles, rays, coral fish plus snorkeling, tubing and diving with the sub wing. Every day was full of fun but that still didn’t compare to the friendship we built with Nick and Amy.
If you come aboard (or are aboard) I recommend having a little fun with theme days, going to limeout for lunch, and swimming at Christmas cove.
Thank you so much Captain and 1’st mate! We will miss you / but we will be back.
Come see us in Colorado!
