Modern 50ft Lagoon. DELANA MAE is a 2020 Lagoon sailing catamaran at 50 feet, set up to sleep 8 guests in 4 cabins. Big platform, big beam, fewer “sorry, can you move your legs” moments.
Outdoor living wins. A shaded cockpit with drop-down shades and a large bimini keeps the main hangout usable all day, with teak decking and a proper setup for meals. Sun pads aft of the helm, plus sunken foredeck seating. Easy decision-making.
Serious water time. You have a swim platform and outdoor shower for quick resets between swims, plus snorkeling gear and underwater camera/video for proof. The headline toy is SNUBA from the dinghy down to 35 feet, for guests who want “dive-ish” without committing to full scuba.
Cabins that make sense. Three queen cabins have en-suite bathrooms, while the fourth is a double midship cabin that shares with the forward queen. Best for families or a group that is fine with one shared bathroom arrangement.

>> Captain Ron: Hey guys, my name is Captain Ron. We are on Delana Mae, the 2019 Lagoon 50. I'm here to show you around a little bit, so come with me, let's take a little walk. Before we get going too quickly, this is the cockpit area. This is a great spot to hang out, you know, have a little cocktail hours, after hours. Great spot there, you know, kick your feet up, have a good time. All right, so let's move forward, come with me.
As we move forward towards the back, we are taking a look. We've got our stand-up paddleboards, so if you're waking up, you're feeling, you know, you need to get a little workout, feel a little energetic, you could see the sunrise getting a little paddleboard. Otherwise, you're going to just relax and kick back. We got a nice lounge area where you can just enjoy the sunrise or sunset, depending upon what your favorite is. Like I said, a great spot to hang out. You got the old, the old nets, you know, if you've got the kids, kids want to hang out, feel active, it's a fun time. Had to come back with me and go back.
And if you come up here, that's what I like to call the office. That's where I spend most of my day, you know. I'm usually waking up before the guests are getting up, but if you do catch, you know, an early morning and you want to see the early morning sail, you can just kick back and relax. Usually accommodates everyone on board. All right, come on down, take a look inside. Careful step, always remember safety second, rule number one: look good. And this is Chef Katy, she's going to give you a little tour on the inside.
>> Chef Katy: Yeah, no, no mic, no mic. Cool. All right, well, here we go. So if you follow me in here, we have our galley and our salon. Galley is where I spend most of my time. You can see we have pretty much everything equipped that you would possibly need. We have a million spices over here. My stove is amazing, my oven's even better. We have lots of counter space where I can prep everything for you guys. Over here, I try to grow my own herbs. Um, we try to locally source everything as much as possible, but it's not that easy on the islands, but we make it work as much as possible. And behind you guys, we have a lovely salon, lots of couch space. We do have a TV that pops up from here. Uh, rainy days, it's perfect for kids want to watch movies, TV, whatever they want, we got one in here. If you guys follow me down the starboard side, I'll show you our master cabin.
So down here is our master cabin. Every cabin is a queen size bed, fully equipped with closet space, drawer space. This one is our master mainly because it has a TV. It has Netflix, Hulu, whatever you guys want, it's all set up already. If you come over here, I'll show you our bathrooms, equipped with a full shower, a fresh water head, and custom toiletries that are reef and eco-safe, made from the BVI's. We custom made all of our scents and the marketing on top of the bottles as well. They're all refillable, so we never have to, uh, we never have to throw them away. They're all reusable, all set. Nice. You can follow me into another cabin.
This is our forward starboard cabin. It's pretty much the same, just without a TV. Lots of closet space, lots of shelving, drawers. Queen size bed, very comfortable for a boat, I will say. Bathrooms the same, fresh water heads. You can stand in the shower, which I will tell you a lot of boats do not have that capability. Beautiful out here. You guys can follow me over here to the port side.
So down here in the port of cabin is where Ron and I like to stay. It has the water maker in there, so we don't usually let guests in there just because with six adults, usually it takes a lot of time to make water, so we don't want to knock on your door too often, so we stay in there. The bunk cabin in here, we like to put, you know, kids as much as possible in here, so it's a little bit smaller, same queen size bed, but kids love it because they like to make forts out of this little bunk room. We like to call it the cave. Still the same bed, just different closet space in here, same as either starboard forward that you saw. A queen sized bed, lots of closet space, lots of shelving, a drawer, same bathroom. And then if you guys follow me back up to the salon in the galley again.
All the lights in here are dim, so you hold them down, they dim down, they turn up, they're wonderful. We have lots of windows for a fresh breeze if we don't have the AC going on. Lots of space for storage, we can hide your stowaways down under. And we have these wonderful Delana Mae hats for our gifts for guests. They're lovely. Ron wears them every day. And follow us outside, we'll answer some questions for you guys.

RJ and Jenna could not have been more hospitable!! They were so gracious to all of us and made sure we were all individually having a great time.
2. Crew Knowledge:
Jenna really knows her stuff in the kitchen for different dietary preferences, and did a great job making delicious and healthy food for all of us. Her plating and tablescapes were creative and inviting. RJ knows so much about the industry, the area, the boat, the technology...we really enjoyed our talks while underway, and how he pointed out interesting stuff we would have otherwise missed. We learned alot, and not just about Pirates' DIce.

Top Notch. Everything we asked for, we got, including a swim with a turtle!

Jenna and RJ were very professional in what they handled, they worked well together, and they did it in an approachable manner. They are a stellar team.

USVI are beautiful, and getting to see them from a catamaran makes them more so.

10. What was the most memorable highlight of your yacht charter vacation?
RJ is a champ when it came to photos and videos with his GoPro and the drone. He created a library for us to share our photos, and having those to look back on will always put smiles on our faces. It is difficult to pick just one. In general - how attentive and fun RJ and Jenna were. RJ and Jenna know all the fun things to do! We loved having pizza delivery via dinghy and a great highlight was probably our lunch at Lime Out. Such a unique experience!
Thank you for helping us create lasting memories. The food, great conversations and views will forever be in our hearts. Spending 7 days with you guys was awesome. We can on strangers but left as friends. Love the Bells, Steven, Randi, Grant & Sophie.
