25 New Catamarans Join the BVI Fleet This Winter, and All 9 Over 65 ft Are Gone for Christmas

Twenty-five catamarans built in 2026 list the British Virgin Islands for this winter, from 50 to 88 feet. Nine of them are over 65 feet, and every one of those nine is already booked or blocked for Christmas and New Year.

We read all 34 new-build calendars on 23 October 2026 for our new catamarans in the BVI page. Here is the short version.

Broker insight

On a new catamaran you notice it at night: lithium banks instead of a generator running, bigger cabins than the same length built five years ago, and toys that are this year's. What you give up is reviews, because nobody has been aboard yet. So we judge a new boat on her crew and on the manager's last boat, and the rate is the same as an older one.

The nine new catamarans over 65 feet

  • MIIA, 88 ft Sunreef power cat, 10 guests, from $110,000. Blocked to 5 January, two February weeks open.
  • NANA MARIE, 80 ft Fountaine Pajot power cat, 8 guests in four king cabins, from $93,000. Holidays and early January booked.
  • MAGIC MOMENTS, 79 ft Fountaine Pajot, 10 guests, from $96,000. Seven weeks booked 25 January to 7 April.
  • NARGIZA, 72 ft Fountaine Pajot, 8 guests, from $68,000. Arrives 27 December for New Year, sails for Greece in April.
  • VELA., 70 ft Sunreef, 8 guests, from $79,000. Holidays booked, then open 4 January to 25 April.
  • ENCORE, 67 ft Fountaine Pajot, 10 guests in five equal queens, from $60,000. Thirteen winter weeks booked.
  • Sapphire, 67 ft Fountaine Pajot, 8 guests, from $58,000. Eleven winter weeks booked, 1 to 20 February open.
  • LIFE IS NOW, 66 ft Lagoon power cat, 8 guests, from $60,000. Delivery blocked to 15 January, open after.
  • AURORA, 65 ft Lagoon, 8 guests, from $56,000. Ten winter weeks booked.

Rates are winter 2026-27 weekly rates for two guests, all-inclusive. Full details, the 16 smaller 2026 boats and the nine 2027 arrivals are on the new catamarans page.

What this means if you are booking now

  • Christmas and New Year 2026 on a new 65 ft-plus cat is closed. The 2025 builds are the next stop: IMLADRIS, Belldia, REVA NUI, Bliss, Azure, SEAHOME II and REVERIE are all a season old and some still show holiday weeks.
  • February and March are the real opening. VELA. has 4 January to 25 April empty, LIFE IS NOW is open from mid-January, MIIA has two February weeks, Sapphire has 1 to 20 February.
  • The 50 to 60 ft new builds are easier. Sixteen of them list the BVI, most for eight guests with two crew, from about $30,000 a week, and most still have January and February weeks.
  • Christmas 2027 is already on sale. Nine more catamarans dated 2027 list the BVI, three of them 60-footers for 12 guests, and the managers of the 2026 boats sold this year’s holidays before the boats arrived. Expect the same next year.

Our take

A new build is not a premium product in the BVI. The nine big boats sit at the same rates as two-year-old boats of the same length. They are a scarce product. If a first-season boat matters to you, the week is the thing to fix first and the boat second, because by the time you have chosen the boat, the week is usually gone.
