TAIL LIGHTS Yacht Description
-
6-Person Jacuzzi on Flybridge:
Perfect spot for lounging with cocktails, enjoying panoramic views, and ultimate relaxation on deck. -
Kawasaki 3-Person Jet Ski 2019 (1500cc):
Exciting water fun with a powerful three-seater jet ski, great for guests seeking adventure. -
AquaBanas Inflatable Floating Island for 6-8 Guests:
Fun social water toy to gather and play together, ideal for families and groups.
Start at the top deck: big Jacuzzi, big views, big social energy. The flybridge on 116’ Azimut TAIL LIGHTS is built for actual use, not brochure photos — a 6‑person jacuzzi on centerline, marble‑top wet bar with TV, teak dining for 10–12, and new loungers all wired into a serious sound and AV system. If your definition of “charter” is “spend most of the day outside, in water or in bubbles,” this platform is where your group will live.
Owner’s area: private staircase, not shared corridor. The master suite is completely separated from guest traffic, reached via its own private stair amidships. Inside: king bed, seating area, self‑service bar, safe, and a full‑size en suite with bathtub plus separate jet‑rain shower and twin sinks. For a charterer footing the bill, this is the “actual sanctuary” zone, not just a slightly larger cabin.
Sleeps up to 12 with real flexibility, not folding compromises. Below are two equal VIP queens and two twin cabins, each with pullman and its own jet‑rain‑shower bathroom. Add the convertible media room on the main deck (with its own shower) and you get practical sleeping for up to 12, especially with kids or teens. Formal interior dining is set for 10; for 12, it switches to efficient family‑style service.
Hardware for play: tenders, toys, and a towed 32’ Scout. TAIL LIGHTS doesn’t rely on a single small dinghy. You get a 32’ Scout towed tender (twin 350s, walk‑in console head) plus a 13’ Walker Bay, 3‑person Kawasaki jetski, sea scooters, e‑scooters, paddleboards, an AquaBanas party float, tubes, skis, wakeboard, kneeboard, snorkel gear, and proper trolling/bottom fishing gear with spearfishing poles where allowed. Translation: the “what do we do today?” conversation never stalls.
Stability, speed, and range: fewer excuses, more miles. Built in 2011 and refit multiple times (major in 2016, updates through 2021), TAIL LIGHTS runs on twin MTUs with a fast planing hull, cruises around 16 knots, and carries an impressive range of roughly 4,700 nm. Zero‑speed stabilizers keep the boat civilized at anchor, so the jacuzzi, dining, and bow sunpads stay usable instead of “hang on to your drink” zones.
Connected and functional, not “maybe there’s Wi‑Fi.” The yacht carries an integrated AV system with iPad control, Apple TV, satellite TV, and multi‑zone audio inside and out. Connectivity is handled via Wi‑Fi catcher plus Starlink high‑speed satellite, with upgraded cellular/roaming options when you want more bandwidth. If you need to work, stream, or run kids’ devices while underway, this platform is engineered for that reality.
Crew of six, including a seasoned charter captain and dedicated chef. A full‑time, charter‑focused crew runs TAIL LIGHTS, with a captain experienced in busy programs, a professional chef, and a service team used to families, kids, and high-activity itineraries. If your priority is a week where logistics quietly disappear in the background while the toys, food, and timing “just happen,” this is the level of operation you’re looking for.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a motor yacht like TAIL LIGHTS, the expected APA is 25% to 40% of the charter price ($20,000 - $32,000), making the charter cost $100,000 to $112,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Crew
Captain: Sean Kampfer
Sean runs TAIL LIGHTS like a captain who grew up with wake on his doorstep, pushing clean, safe miles so you hit the prime anchorages and fishing holes instead of burning daylight. He’s hands-on on deck and calm on the bridge, so even the busiest charter feels sharp, unrushed, and dialed to what your group actually wants.

- Early experience running water taxis and mid-size passenger vessels to New York City
- Extensive charter background in New England
- Previous yachts include SEAFARER, JOPAJU, ENDEVOUR, SERENITY, FRISKY LADY
Daniela cooks like someone who’s walked ports on every ocean, turning that mileage into plates that actually match the day—light when you’re running hard, bold when the sun drops and the boat slows. She brings cruise-ship discipline into a private-yacht galley, so service hits on time and on point, every meal.
- Born and raised in Transylvania, Romania
- 8 years in the cruise industry across global itineraries
- Advanced through multiple Food & Beverage department roles
- Background in Miami restaurant scene and private catering before returning to yachting
Michelle runs the interior with Ritz-trained precision and charter aggression, reading your pace fast and then flooding the day with tight service, clean cabins, and zero friction. She doesn’t wait for requests—she’s already moving, so your focus stays on the water, not the workflow.
- Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UC Santa Barbara
- Professional service background at Ritz-Carlton Bacara
- Former Client Service Associate at UBS in San Francisco
Paloma layers creative table setups and sharp, quiet service into every meal, flipping the deck from casual breakfast to evening showpiece without slowing the day down. She’s the one tuning flowers, décor, and small details so the boat feels curated, not staged.
- Grew up in San Diego, California
- University of California, Santa Barbara graduate
- Charter experience in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Alaska
- Long-term service partnership with Chief Stewardess Michelle since college
Shane is the guy who turns the toy locker into a full-contact day—kiteboards, dives, tender runs, fishing hits—running it tight so you can push hard and still feel safe. He knows where the fish stack and how to coach every level, from first-time riders to guests who want real speed.
- Born in New Jersey and raised on Florida’s west coast
- 3+ years of yachting experience focused on guest excursions
- Specialist in operating tenders for exploration and activity runs
- Holds 100 Ton Master and 200 Ton Mate licenses

February 2022
Well after much thought I have to confess the following negatives about our week on Tail Lights….
1) It’s over. ☹
2) Pretty sure we each came home a few pounds heavier.
3) Back home we experienced much separation anxiety ---from Dave’s cooking, Michelle’s margaritas, Sarah’s smiling face, Garrett’s “fix it” skills, Peter’s expertise on all things floating and/or motorized, and of course Captain Sean’s friendly personality, skill and leadership.
In other words, I don’t think we could top this crew and this trip. The fact that all the crew members had just met each other the week before was unbelievable. They were so highly skilled, amicable, pleasant, and compatible. When Dave heard we wanted to watch the Super Bowl, he quickly designed a 9 course menu of Super Bowl food. I’ve never had anything like it! Every half hour we had some mouthwatering, extraordinary appetizer—all leading up to the grand finale of sliders and crispy hot fries…and warm brownies. One night we celebrated our son in law’s bday and were surprised with a Disco theme complete with costumes. The entire crew joined in and made the night so fun. Michelle and Sarah could not have been more delightful, kinder, more patient and ready to meet our every need. I wanted to bring them home! All of the crew was top notch and we would not change a thing.
May 2021
"We just arrived home and as you can imagine everyone was very sad to leave the boat. The boat was awesome and Capitan Sean and Crew were amazing. My kids are still posting the amazing meals Chef Tom cooked and all the adults are missing the fabulous drinks that were prepared by Suzy Q and Jess. Sean, Chris , Jess and Rob (aka Dallas) did a great Job getting all our adventures in even with the wind blowing. As I told them when we left the boat is great but the Crew really made the trip something special.
Thanks for your help in arranging and we will definitely contact you for our next trip on Tail Lights."

Hi Susan
The below message says it all.
Thank you and take care.
Neil Emmott
"Dear Neil,
From our whole family we can’t thank you enough! This was by far the best trip of our lives. We are beyond grateful to both of you for making this happen. Thank you, thank you.
The yacht and the crew were beyond our expectations and we all enjoyed every minute of it. And don’t get me started on the chef and all of our meals, an absolute 10+!
The only worry we have now is how will we ever top this? We need to plan the next one!
Thank you again,
Charterer
September 2022
Hi Susan,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you with feedback from the "Charterer" They had a great few days aboard TAIL LIGHTS and really liked the crew, and had zero complaints or suggestions. I was discussing another charter with the client earlier this week and they would have taken TAIL LIGHTS again later this month if she wasn’t already booked and heading south. His wife also sent me the following message.
Thank you for checking in. We had an amazing time on the Tail Lights and the crew was so nice!
Warm Regards,
Charterer
Broker:
From a personal perspective I found Captain Sean excellent to work with. He took control of everything, was extremely responsive and nothing was any problem - I had full confidence that he and the crew were going to deliver a great experience for the guests. I would not hesitate to put clients aboard TAIL LIGHTS in the future (and based on the bookings you have for the winter I guess plenty of others share that opinion!)
Thanks again,
Broker
