Offered by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht OCEANA 48 is a 49 ft sailing catamaran. OCEANA 48 spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. She was constructed by the renowned boatbuilder Bali Catamarans in 2021. The ingenious yacht layout features 4 large cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 8 guests.

OCEANA 48 is classified primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the core layout is spread out from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck features a variety of seating areas and that's where most of the meals are served. The immersive cabins offer unbeatable views in the morning and are located just below deck. The cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. Multiple portholes connect you with the outside world.

The sailboat features 2x57HP Yanmar 13.5Kw Onan Generator engines and a generator.

Accommodation

4 queen berth guest cabins each with a private en-suite electric head, shower and sink/vanity. Starboard side heads have dry stall showers, port side heads have wet showers.
All cabins have individually contract air-conditioning for each cabins comfort.
Top desk fly-bridge with lounging and seating with a 360-degree view.
Forward cockpit with solid sun deck and dining area.
Aft cockpit with seating and dining accommodations.
Main deck has a bright and airy main salon (fully air-conditioned) as the galley direct access to the forward cockpit lounge area.
In true Bali catamaran style, the salon back wall lifts up and side widows slide forward to open up the entire space for an alfresco dining experience and panoramic views.

Cam started sailing as a three-year-old tethered to a Hobie Cat with his grandfather sailing in his home state of New South Wales, Australia. Fast forward some years and when Cam wasn't working for one of Australia's largest real estate companies, you'd find him racing yachts on Sydney Harbour or delivering boats up and down Australia's east coast.

After a brief sabbatical in Croatia in 2022, Cam decided to trade his corporate desk for yacht decks and he hasn't looked back since. He has since sailed in some of the world's best sailing destinations including Croatia, Greece and French Polynesia, but he is now happy to call the Virgin Islands home. He has spent the last two years in the BVI managing one of the Caribbean's highest-rated sailing schools and he loves nothing more than sharing his passion for the ocean with everyone he meets. If guests want to learn a bit more about sailing, Cam is always happy to show them the ropes or get them behind the wheel.

Coming across the seas from the inner city of Sydney, Australia – Julia grew up baking alongside her mother and grandmother learning the home classics and passed down family recipes. After a challenging few years working as pediatric nurse during the global pandemic, she took the opportunity of the world opening back up to explore the world, tasting culinary delights in many parts of Asia and Europe before landing herself in Croatia as a chef onboard flotilla charter yachts for the European summer. This experience ignited a flame for Julia to chase her dream of working as a chef on the water full-time.

Julia comes from a strong hospitality background working in several established venues in Sydney both behind the bar and front of house. She has completed a number of culinary courses with Le Cordon Bleu and the Australian Patisserie Academy and is so passionate about delivering delicious food and a unique hospitality experience.

Outside of the galley there is nothing more relaxing to Julia than perching in the sun with a good book or finding new walks along the coastlines around the world. Coming from a large family, bringing people together around a table to enjoy a meal and share stories is one of life’s greatest moments in her eyes and she cannot wait to welcome you onboard and share this with you all.

Holy cow amazing vacation, beautiful sites to see (stars at Anegada, sunset + sunrise, snorkelling the Indians + baths + eustasia). Food is sooo freaking good can’t explain. Driving is immaculate. Thank you Cam and Julia!! Cam and Julia are homies FR! The kindest, welcoming and very caring crew. This trip is defo a must do and you gotta do it on Oceana (BVI olympic champions 2024). Cam’s Ted Talks are always very informative and well prepared. I got to say for a very tardy family Cam + Julia always got us everywhere on time. Another thing is you may think because your on a boat that food may be rationed but actually Julia is pretty darn good at Tetris because there is apparently no end to the food supply. Words cannot describe how amazing our week was. Julia and PJ were just the best!! Every day was perfect and all of our meals/snacks were amazing. You guys were so awesome. Not the first time we’ve done a cat charter but definitely the best! Boat was great! PJ was patient and dealt with our requests easily. He was cordial, intuitive and informative. Julia was the best chef ever! Every meal she made was fantastic, creative and better than any meal we could have had on any of the islands!

Everyone of us in our group are seasoned travelers and have had the good fortune to experience some pretty spectacular vacations around the world. So I’ll just cut to the chase and say that this was one of the greatest vacations any of us have ever experienced. Everything exceeded our expectations starting with our fantastic Captain James Cotter and Chef extraordinaire Marie Levraud. Two absolutely delightful people. James handled OCEANA, our Bali 48 catamaran, with ease, confidence and professionalism. It was clear almost immediately that he was an expert yachtsman and that we were in very capable hands. James worked with us prior to our charter to put together the best possible float plan. He blended many beautiful and tranquil locations with a few livelier spots like the Soggy Dollar Bar, Saba Rock and the Bitter End and the Wonky Dog on Anegada for the best lobster dinner I've ever had. I also enjoyed some of the best snorkeling of my life when we stopped at George Dog for the afternoon. Four of us had been to the BVI twice before, bare-boating both of those trips. However, after experiencing a BVI charter with a captain and a chef we would be hard pressed to do it any other way. It allowed us to fully relax and enjoy a stress free week on the water. There were countless highlights on our trip but the first one that came to mind for me was the cuisine. Chef Marie far exceeded our expectations. Every meal, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, was five star, carefully and thoughtfully planned out. Marie always took the time to explain every meal, the region that inspired each dish and the various ingredients she used. In my lifetime I have never had so many excellent meals back to back for nine days straight. James and Marie also discerned quickly our personal tastes for both food and drinks. Marie always had creative alternatives available just in case there was a food item one of us didn’t care for and James knew exactly the right moment to hand you the perfect cappuccino, cocktail or glass of vino. James and Marie always kept OCEANA clean and organized including our bedrooms and bathrooms. Yeah, they spoiled us big time.

The Oceana was the perfect fit for our family, not only the right size, but the best capitan and chef. Umbi is an amazingly kind and warm person. He took us to amazing locations and hikes and did everything to make sure we were well taken care of. Lindsey was awesome. She worked tirelessly cooking so many delicious dishes and accommodated everyone's dietary restrictions, from vegans, to gluten free. No small feat. Everything was perfect. The only way to really experience the BVI.

Pure perfection! Everything was amazing! You even ordered up our request for nice weather and (almost) always smooth seas. This was the most unforgettable trip - the food you made was truly 5 star, but the presentation was equally stunning. Great captain! We had a great experience with Umberto and Judith. As I stated in a previous email, they exceeded our vacation expectations and they covered any and all of the details to provide our group with an exceptional vacation. The boat was amazing, Umberto is a great captain and Judith provided us with consistent 5 Star meals each day with amazing presentations that were absolutely delicious. Judith is very skillful to accomplish this in a small kitchen on a boat. I think that I speak for everyone to say that they provided us with the ultimate vacation experience.
