Crew
Captain: Dick Stuart
Captain Dick runs DEEP BLUE like a precision machine, quietly stripping the stress out of travel so you can lean back and own every mile of water. His mix of engineer’s mindset and island swagger means the boat stays dialed in, the sailing stays sharp, and the fun stays switched on.
- USCG 100 Ton Master Captain with Sailing Endorsement
- Mechanical engineer by training with extensive Caribbean bareboat experience
- FCC Marine Radio Operator certification
- Dive Instructor certification; based in Puerto Rico since 2017
Kim flips DEEP BLUE into a private sanctuary, reading what you want before you say it and backing it up with clean, honest flavors that hit the table like clockwork. She pulls spa-level calm out of yoga, travel grit out of adventure, and folds both into a charter that feels personal, not packaged.
- Former ER and Trauma Registered Nurse with international volunteer work in Ethiopia and Uganda
- Business owner, motivational speaker, and author with a strong service background
- Fitness and yoga instructor for over 30 years
- Experienced catamaran skipper with sailing in Mexico and the Caribbean

Reviews
We had such a magical week sailing the BVI’s with you. The boat is so special and outfitted so thoroughly, truly one could arrive with a bathing suit and be set for the week. But the true secret sauce is you two. Kim is the most gracious hostess. Our every need and want was catered to with a loving heart. Captain Dick was so generous with his knowledge, guidance and enthusiasm. Thank you for making memories with us all . The best to you both in 2025.

First things first: I wanna thank you both with all my heart—or as we say back home, from the bottom of my Talladega-loving heart—for the most unbelievable two weeks out on the shimmering seas of Antigua. If cruising were a NASCAR race, y’all just took the checkered flag and did a victory lap in a golden speedboat.
Captain Dick, you steered us through those waters like I handle my Chevy on a racetrack—smooth, fast, and making it look easy. Every turn of the boat was like hitting the perfect drift. And Kim, lord have mercy, your cooking had more flair than a pit road on race day. I swear, those meals could win championships. They fueled us up better than my crew chief does before the final laps.
Between the sunsets that looked like they were painted just for us, the laughter we shared, and the peace of being out there with nothing but the blue around us, I felt like I was in one of those fancy TV commercials. Except it was real life, and y’all were the stars of the show.
So, from the depths of my racing soul, thank you for every moment, every meal, and every memory. We might not have been going 200 mph, but I’d say we were flying all the same. Let’s do it again sometime—shake and bake!
**Captain Dick** is a true master of the seas. His extensive knowledge of the waters around Antigua ensured that each day brought new and exciting destinations. His navigation skills were impeccable, making us feel safe and confident throughout our journey. Captain Dick’s enthusiasm for sailing and his deep understanding of the local culture and history added a rich layer to our adventure. He was always ready with a fascinating story or a hidden gem of a location to explore, making our trip both educational and thrilling.
**Chef Kim** delighted us with culinary creations that were nothing short of gourmet. Each meal was a testament to her creativity and skill, incorporating fresh, local ingredients in ways that highlighted the flavors of the Caribbean. From decadent breakfasts to exquisite dinners under the stars, Chef Kim's meals were a highlight of our journey. She was also incredibly accommodating of dietary preferences and needs, ensuring that everyone aboard enjoyed the dining experience to the fullest.
The **'Deep Blue'** itself is a stunning vessel, impeccably maintained and equipped with everything one could need for a luxurious sailing adventure. The spacious and comfortable accommodations made our stay on board feel like a five-star floating hotel. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged to provide the utmost comfort and relaxation.
Captain Dick and Chef Kim's teamwork and dedication to providing an exceptional sailing experience were evident in every aspect of our trip. Their warm hospitality, professionalism, and genuine passion for what they do created an atmosphere of camaraderie and joy that will be remembered fondly by all of us.
If you are looking for a sailing adventure that combines breathtaking destinations, top-notch service, and unforgettable memories, look no further than Captain Dick, Chef Kim, and the 'Deep Blue.' We can’t recommend them highly enough and are already dreaming of our next voyage with this incredible team.
Thank you, Captain Dick and Chef Kim, for an amazing journey around Antigua. We look forward to sailing with you again!
I sincerely appreciate the adventure we experienced with you & Chef Kim. Being an Ocean / Beach enthusiast, one of the things I hadn't done was to go out on a CAT vacay!! Once out on the water with you & Kim the dream became a reality. More than I expected!! The problem will be --- now that I've gone with you both on Deep Blue, I wouldn't want to be with any other crew or on any other boat (CAT). Here's to our next trip...................
PS - next time take less pics of Mark and more of ME 😂😎🌴⛵
Sincerely,
Kerry
