With space for 6 guests across 3 cabins: 1 double and 2 queens, I think this is a really great yacht for 3 couples who wish to share a luxury charter vacation in the British Virgin Islands and equally split the bill!

I really like catamaran Lena’s standout design. It is classy and modern and breaks away from the typical catamaran style.

Unlike the common white-colored catamarans, Lena has a burgundy hull and an interior that uses lots of light and dark contrasts, such as a black and white marble table and wall features.

But despite her dark colors, Catamaran Lena feels very light and open. Her main spacious saloon features sliding glass doors that open onto both a comfortable bow terrace and the aft deck. This design provides a very airy indoor-outdoor living experience.

Lena is also equipped with a hydraulic aft platform, extending the cockpit when it is up and making it easier for guests to access the water when it is down.

We have had the pleasure of meeting the crew of Catamaran Port to Vino in person at the British Virgin Island Yacht Show, and I can confidently say they are fantastic people, with lots of experience and great local knowledge of the BVI.

Captain Jeff and Chef Caitlin Nichols are an American couple who have been working together since they met on the job at a dive shop in coastal North Carolina in 2010. You will eat like kings and queens.

One of the first things I want to highlight about Catamaran My Ty is her extra guest capacity:

Where this type of catamaran usually only accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins, My Ty can take 10 guests across 5 cabins. The cabins are also of very equal size, which makes this a great charter yacht to share.

I especially think this would be a great choice for a larger group of friends or family who are looking to share a luxurious and active Caribbean yacht charter vacation together.

Every space on My Ty is designed to accommodate a large group, with a big dining area and plenty of lounging and sunbathing spots on the flybridge, as well as on the foredeck.

The flybridge also has a bar and would honestly be the perfect spot to have a party with a 360° view.

The foredeck is super well laid out, with plenty of seating, big trampolines, and a Jacuzzi; you can easily fit everyone here for a midday siesta.

My Ty has a big selection of water toys

My Ty also has a swim platform with a swim ladder at the back, which makes for easy access for both swimming and launching water toys.

AND her water toy selection is great: She’s got wakeboards, water skis, kneeboards, seabobs, paddleboards, kayaks, several floating mats, beach games, and snorkeling gear, and I probably forgot something. The point is, there is enough to have you all entertained!

I am not surprised that Mariah Princess III was ranked no. 1 yacht in 2023. She is a super luxurious catamaran with a smart layout and several unique features that make her stand out from catamarans of the same size.

She can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 spacious cabins: 2 king cabins and 2 larger-than-queen cabins.

– Note that one of her master cabins features a private drop-down balcony, a perfect spot to enjoy a romantic bottle of champagne or to jump off for a morning swim.

One of my favorite things about Mariah Princess III is her very large flybridge, which features a Jacuzzi.

Jacuzzis are commonly placed on the foredeck, but in my opinion, the flybridge jacuzzi is superior—I mean, who doesn’t want a Jacuzzi on the top deck with a 360° view? You can’t beat that!

Dive instructors and Water sports

Captain Kevin Gentles has his PADI Dive Master certification, and Chef Nicole Bowman has her PADI Rescue certification; they are both able to guide experienced and beginner divers.

Note that for each certified guest, 2 dives are included in the base charter rate.

And now to my no. 1 favorite charter catamaran currently available in the British Virgin Islands!

I will start by saying that the reason why Ohana is my top choice is because, other than being one of the most beautiful catamarans I have seen on the market, she is a charter vessel that honestly ticks all the boxes for a perfect adventure in the BVI!

A closer look at Ohana

Ohana is an 80-foot luxury sailing catamaran with accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 deluxe, king-size ensuite cabins. She is among the larger catamarans available, and she is brand new, built only in 2023!!

I would say that Ohana is the ideal charter yacht for both an adventurous and active charter vacation with a group of friends and more intimate charters for couples or honeymooners.
