Wow! Thank you for such a memorable trip. Our family so enjoyed our first ever sailing trip — it exceeded all expectations. Martha, we haven’t eaten this well ,in well, forever! It was such a treat to have so thoughtfully prepared food/meals for the week.

Harry, thank you for guiding us as our captain with care and consideration for timing of stops & itinerary — especially with the baby. We’ll remember some highlights like snorkeling, animal sightings — sharks, dolphins, turtles, flamingos, iguanas, fish — oh my! Swimming off the boat to chill, Soggy Dollar Bar, exploring The Baths, the drive around Anegada, fancy cocktails, and just spending quality together.

We loved our time together on Sip Sip. Thanks for everything.

We Were Not Disappointed

We just got back home from an unexpected week aboard Sip Sip with crew Harry and Martha. We ended up on Sip Sip when our charter yacht ran into some technical difficulties and the company arranged with your company to charter Sip Sip for us to live out our dream vacation. We were not disappointed!

Harry and Martha really made our experience on board THE BEST! Given the circumstances, they quickly got Sip Sip provisioned and ready for a short notice crewed charter, and then did everything possible to make our six days aboard truly unforgettable!

We are all keen sailors, and Harry was happy to help involve us in sailing such a beautiful boat. He is also a very experienced sailor and great instructor. Both Harry and Martha felt like family and not staff and we actively encouraged them to join in on the fun on our dream vacation. What an experience!

This vacation was especially valuable to our family, bringing us together for the first time in such a way, with so many new experiences that it hard to select a high point. Every day brought new highs!

Many thanks to Harry and Martha and to your organization to help accommodate the request at short notice and help turn our vacation into something that our family will remember for years to come. Truly exceptional!

Was The Best Trip Ever!

David, Olivia and Naomi, this was the best trip ever. I had so much fun playing card games, sea bobbing, and especially during the moves breaking down Olivia's crazy dancing! But.... if you guys let me stay I can live int he storage closet - I'm okay with that!

OMG What A Wonderful Time - Simply Amazing

I almost don't want to post this selfishly because everyone will want to charter Sip Sip and the crew. OMG what a wonderful time me and my family had, simply amazing!

Cpt. Dave, Naomi and Olivia were all so professional, helpful, courteous and a true pleasure. They were also fun and pleasant to get to know. We all loved them and will miss them until next year, that's right, we decided we're coming back.

Olivia made some of the best dishes I have ever had, and I have eaten around the world at many Michelin star restaurants and everything in between. Olivia prepared from scratch meals for breakfast lunch and dinner and desert. Freaking made the bagels we had one morning from scratch. OMG!

Dave is a great captain, safe, smart and focused on making sure me and my family not only had a great time but were safe, whether that was in a cove, or swimming or whatever, he made sure everything was correct. Thank You!

Naomi covered everything else, great dive master - buddy, wonderful host, made some of the freshest cocktails, so tasty and perfect for boating in beautiful waters.

It was truly a pleasure meeting all of you, all the best this year in your journey's, hope to see you next March!

Boy, Were We Surprised!

Our first private yacht charter so we didn't know what to expect. Boy, were we surprised. What a great crew - David Naomi and Olivia (the best chef ever!!!)
I have traveled the world in different ways but never on my own boat. I have to say with the service of the crew it was the most relaxing one week vacation I have ever had.

I Miss Them Already!

I searched for a long time to find the perfect catamaran for my husband and I. We had enjoyed a catamaran charter a year before also in the BVI and loved it so much we wanted to repeat the experience. The last boat we had was so great but unavailable for this trip.

I was very particular when I was hunting for the new one vessel. I wanted a nicely decorated inviting sitting area and roomy private spaces. I knew we preferred to travel alone as a couple or, if the boat was large, we would invite one other couple to join us. I also knew I wanted a crew that seemed like they belonged together like the crew from the year before.
So my husband texted our previous captain, whom he found and was now captaining a larger catamaran also out of the BVI. This knew catamaran, the Sip Sip, was the most beautiful boat I found during my search.

The Sip Sip has a beautiful master bedroom, which is double the size of the other two bedrooms. All the beds in the 3 cabins are the same size and all of the bathrooms are similar in size.
We decided to include one other couple since the Sip Sip is 62 feet long. We divided the 3 cabins - one couple gets the large cabin and the other couple gets both of the other 2 cabins. The Sip Sip is extra wide making it very stable and the galley is below the main deck and so when the chef is cooking, they are out of sight. I was also checking to see what the food preparation looked like on the boats. The Sip Sip had the most beautiful looking food, platings, and menu of all the boats that I looked at.

The crew is what actually makes this the best charter experience available. The three members, Captain Dave, Naomi and Ada (stand in chef for our week) were outstanding. They are extremely professional and knowledgeable about their catamaran, our safety, the water, the weather, other boats and always had our enjoyment in mind.
We had to change our plans due to one of our party having some seasickness. Captain Dave and crew adapted seamlessly to our requests.
There’s a ton of toys onboard that appear out of nowhere for our entertainment each day. We loved our week of luxurious relaxation and pampering. I also got off the boat with an extra ten pounds! Worth every ounce! The food was delicious three times a day!

This isn’t over. We will book with them again soon! I miss them already!

We're Back Again

Here we are again....didn't tell you we would? Exactly one year later - we tracked you down.
We love you all - and again - this isn't the end.
We had some wind, some squalls, some swells, and we felt like priviledged kids in paradise - even though we are 60 year old kids.
Naomi and Dave take such good care of us. I have forgotten how to take care of ourselves!

Your professional skills, endearing personalities and heartfelt concern for your guests need more than a page to describe but here are some highlights
Dave is a competent, confident and calm captain. With him in charge we don't have a care in the. world!
Naomi is a natural hostess, keeping us comfortable and entertained while alos keeping this floating luxury hotel looking so beautiful and glamerous.
Jay is a magician in the kitchen! Every meal a work of art. Don't know where he finds the time to coach e-foil, chase and film dolphins under water, teach us party tricks and convince us to "murder" each other with an onboard version of Clue.
Best crew we've ever had, we can't wait to see you all again.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Wow, wow wow! Some of us have sailed more than others, but as a whole, this was our first extended multi-day sailing. As a group of land locked Canadians, we had very little in terms of sailing expectations. But that really didn’t matter much in the context of this review. In the end, the sailing, incredible as it was, ended up being only a small portion of the overall experiences that we enjoyed.

TO DAVID AND NAOMI
First and foremost, you are two of the most incredible people that we have had the pleasure of meeting. During our holiday, our group continually commented on how diversely accomplished and professional the two of them were. To achieve this at their young age, is only more impressive.

David skillfully navigated the boat allowing us to enjoy the pleasures of the wind, but also safely placing us in coves and harbours, and along island edges for snorkelling right off the back of the boat. We have never before enjoyed so much time in the water on any previous vacation, of any type. David also provided morning briefings and lectures on the surrounding areas, and meticulously maintained the boat when not at the helm. And let’s not forget Davids’s bartending skills! We could hardly wait for 5:00pm to approach, when we would be introduced to Davids’s concoction of the day! Delicious, beautifully prepared, and even topical to the day’s ventures.

Naomi, simply, is one of the most accomplished chefs that we have ever come across. All of us in the group have been fortunate enough to travel the world, and Naomi is definitely of a world class! The food was beyond delicious, used many fresh local ingredients, and had a presentation fitting of a red seal chef in a posh 5-star establishment. The fact that she created these mostly “scratch” dishes in a very small kitchen with limited tools, counter space, and ingredients that had to be procured a week in advance is a marvel on its own. Including a 5:00pm appetizer, Naomi was creating up to 4 unique and intriguing dishes a day. Everything about our trip was perfect, but if we were to identify the one item that surprised and impressed us the most, it would have been Naomi’s meals. We are not the type to take pictures of our food as it is served, but in Naomi’s case, that is exactly what happened.

David and Naomi worked together to keep the boat clean, organized, and safe. With all of their incredible skills, it is easy to overlook the most appreciated offering of the two, their hospitality. Much younger than us of course, but we truly admired the way the two of them interacted and shared stories with us about sailing in the British Virgin Islands as well as their previous encounters. They were friendly and caring to our needs, they joined us in evening conversation and joyful banter, and in only seven days formed a friendship that we hope will continue well beyond this sailing. There is so much more that can be said of David and Naomi, but I think this last sentence will be a good summation…. You are very lucky that we can’t think of anything to do with a boat crew, in the rural prairies of Canada, where the water is only liquid for part of the year, or we would have already stolen them!!!

You Made This Trip

From the moment we first boarded we knew we were in for a treat. Dave and Naomi are warm and welcoming. Their knowledge of BVI took us to some incredible sites. Dave's Yachtmanship was evident from the start and his stories kept us captivated. The meals Naomi prepared were better than anything we have ever had at a restaurant. We were able to experience all this with our children and grandkids. This made our adventure even more special.

So many Firsts

This has been the trip of a lifetime for our family. To be able to "unplug", explore, laugh, experience so many "firsts" for our kids.... is something we will cherish for a lifetime!

Trip Advisor Review of Chris and Lida

From the very beginning Painkiller and conference about the trip, Chris and Lida were superb hosts to our family on our anniversary trip. Chris was attentive to our input on where we wanted to go in the BVIs and also made suggestions that were special and not stops we had otherwise considered. Lida was amazing in her delivery of three extraordinary and different meals every day along with beautiful tasty appetizers each late afternoon before amazing dinners. We had a birthday while on board and Chris and Lida went out of their way to make that day special complete with a freshly baked birthday cake, birthday banners and music and an amazing sea bass dinner. Have already talked up the trip with a number of landlubbers back home.

June 2023 BVI

Our family had the trip of a lifetime on Sip Sip this past June. We arrived by dingy to rum punches on the stern, served with a smile by Lida. Our luggage was immediately whisked away. Captain Chris took us all on a tour of the boat. The boat has a sleek and modern vibe that makes it feel like a floating, spa oasis. We slept in a queen cabin and it was the most comfortable charter bed I’ve ever slept on. The bathrooms are enormous and there is plenty of storage for a weeks worth of clothes and necessities. Our son slept in the bunk room with a friend and it was perfect for them.

Lida served up a gourmet breakfast every morning and incredible dinners each evening. Most of our lunches were spent at beach restaurants on the different islands. We had some complicated food requests on this trip and Leda made sure that my husband had the correct food for each meal and made them delicious.

Chris and Lida are expert sailors, hosts and staff (staff wrong word?). They made the vacation by offering suggestions as to locations to stop and explore and providing us with the space we needed to relax when under sail. The boat itself has many areas to spread out and read, sunbathe, or even work ( if you have to!).

The highlight for the parents and the kids were the “toys” on board. Each day we would find a place to snorkel, SeaBob, hydrofoil, paddle board and dingy. We know from experience that some yacht charters charge extra for these perks but they are included on Sip Sip which is fantastic.

The BVI’s are the best family vacation destination and when you explore it on Sip Sip you’re going to make memories for a lifetime!

The cruise was really top-notch: the boat was very well maintained, spotless, and you couldn't tell it was old enough.
As for the crew, as you said, they were fantastic.
They're lovely, very professional, very keen to do well and make sure everyone has a good time. We will be. Delighted to see them again if we return to the region!

We had high hopes that this trip would be a great experience - and honestly the trip exceeded anything we could have imagined. The boat was immaculate and very comfortable, and the crew quickly felt like dear friends (shout out to Chris and Lida - twenty somethings from S. Africa who were fun and energetic - providing some of the best meals we've ever had, were engaging and so attentive to whatever we wanted to try and do, and took us to many great locations throughout the Virgin Islands). With kids from 18 to 25 - we did plenty of water sports, from tubing and wake boarding - to riding on Sea Bobs and Efoils - and were having so much fun we even booked an extra night while on board - truly the best family vacation we've ever taken.
