What is a tandem charter?

A tandem charter is one vacation spread across two yachts that cruise together: shared route, neighboring mooring balls, one lead captain, and the group mixing freely between boats and beach bars. Three or more boats doing the same is a flotilla charter, the same idea with more logistics.

Nowhere does it work better than the BVI. The short hops mean the boats are never separated, every anchorage has room for two, and the whole group lands on the same beach for sundowners.

The pairing matters: matched speeds, compatible crews, and both managers agreeing the plan. We keep a catalog of BVI pairings that have run tandems well before, and we clear the coordination before you sign rather than improvising on the water. Full guide: BVI tandem charters for 14-20 guests.
