Because the extras differ by yacht and model, though the BVI’s headline is a happy one: there is no VAT on charters here, 0%, which is a major reason the BVI wins value comparisons against the Mediterranean’s 20%+ rates.
What does exist is a set of small local fees: the BVI cruising tax of $4 to $16 per person per day depending on where the yacht is based, a $10 per person environmental levy, and modest national park and mooring fees. On all-inclusive catamarans, the yacht’s own running costs are already in the price; on APA boats, provisioning and fuel come from your APA budget.
Our quotes list every one of these from the first email, so the number you approve is the number you pay. Full breakdown: the BVI cruising tax explained.
