Captain Christiaan Van Der Walt Growing up along the coast of South Africa, Captain Christiaan developed a deep connection to the ocean, spending much of his childhood weekends on the water. What began as a love for the sea and the outdoors evolved into a diverse maritime career encompassing lifeguarding, commercial diving, dive and freediving instruction, and captaining vessels around the world. Holding a 200-Ton Captain’s License, Christiaan brings more than ten years of experience spanning hospitality, medical response, and vessel operations. His impressive background includes commanding a fleet of ten vessels, completing a circumnavigation, and earning recognition as a two-time PADI Elite Dive Instructor. These experiences have shaped his confident leadership, practical seamanship, and strong commitment to safety. An accomplished fisherman and passionate waterman, Christiaan enjoys everything from spearfishing and bluewater fishing to fly fishing. His adventures have taken him to remarkable destinations including the Seychelles, Fiji, and New Zealand, expanding both his knowledge of the ocean and his appreciation for its diverse marine environments. For Christiaan, being a captain is about much more than navigating a yacht. He takes pride in creating an atmosphere where guests feel safe, comfortable, and encouraged to embrace life on the water. Whether sharing his knowledge of sailing, introducing guests to diving, or helping them discover the excitement of fishing, he enjoys making every charter an opportunity for exploration, learning, and memorable experiences.

Chef Amber Horner Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, Chef Amber brings a natural warmth, positive energy, and genuine passion for hospitality to every charter. Her love of travel led her into the yachting industry, where she began as a stewardess before progressing to Chief Stewardess aboard yachts up to 40 meters. Working alongside talented chefs throughout her yachting career sparked Amber’s own passion for the culinary arts. As her travels introduced her to diverse cultures, ingredients, and cooking traditions, she developed a growing appreciation for the creativity and connection that food can bring. She further expanded her culinary knowledge through cooking courses in South Africa and Thailand. Amber’s approach to cuisine is inspired by her international experiences, combining fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and flavors that reflect the destinations she explores. She enjoys creating memorable dining experiences that bring guests together while adding a personal touch to every meal. Beyond the galley, Amber embraces an active, wellness-minded lifestyle. Currently working toward her 200-hour yoga teacher certification, she enjoys sharing her interest in yoga and breathwork with guests. Her experience as a snorkeling guide also allows her to introduce others to the beauty of the underwater world. With her upbeat personality, adventurous spirit, and background in luxury hospitality, Amber brings warmth, creativity, and attentive service to life aboard, helping guests feel welcomed, relaxed, and cared for throughout their charter.
