Winner of “Boat of the Year” 2022, with the guy who helped design her at the helm. VANISHING POINT is a 2022 Hylas 57 built as a mini–superyacht for just 4 guests, not a floating dorm. Two equal-status queen suites, both en-suite, mean no one pulls the short straw.
This is a naval-architect’s passion project you actually get to charter. Designed by superyacht architect Bill Dixon, then further refined by Captain David Crafa—who also runs her charters—VANISHING POINT is essentially the “demo model” that went on tour and walked off with Boat of the Year and Best in Show titles in 2022. You’re not renting “a boat”; you’re stepping onto the yard’s award-winning reference build.
High-end sailing, low guest count. At 57 feet, with just two guest cabins, space-per-person is more “private yacht” than “charter bus.” Full air conditioning, modern systems, and a quiet Volvo Penta power setup keep life civilized while you enjoy proper performance sailing instead of slow-motion drifting.
Crew who actually know this boat inside out (because they helped create it). Captain David averages around 250 days a year on the water and was involved in bringing this exact Hylas 57 to life for the brand. Add a dedicated chef crafting fresh, bistro-level menus, and you get a charter that feels more like being invited aboard a highly optimized personal yacht than a generic “week on a sailboat.”
If you want an award-winning, architect-designed sailing yacht that focuses on comfort for four, serious sailing, and a captain with deep bluewater credentials rather than pile-on-the-toys chaos, VANISHING POINT is the point.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailboat like VANISHING POINT, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price ($2,925 - $5,850), making the charter cost $22,425 to $25,350. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Reviews
Broker comment.
Together they offered a casual and relaxed service.
Special praise went to the crew: “Captain David went above and beyond to give us the experience we had envisioned,” and “Chef Wesley was more than THE BEST!! She exceeded our expectations in every possible way.” They described the yacht as the best they’ve ever sailed.
Thank you for such an amazing experience! I've also received a request for feedback from another broker, and I've shared the client's comments with her as well!!
Hope to get more business your way!
Kind regards,
Federico
