Yacht Description
Ten guests, sensibly. SEA ESTA is a 58-foot Leopard sailing catamaran built in 2013, set up to sleep 10. The layout leans toward couples, with five queen cabins plus one twin.
Easy water access. A swim platform and outdoor shower make the swim to lounge transition quick. No ceremony. Just dry off, reset, repeat.
Toys that get used. You have paddleboards, kayaks, floating mats, and the faster stuff too: adult water skis, a wakeboard, and a towable tube. Snorkeling gear is onboard, along with an underwater still camera and underwater video for proof.
Simple comforts onboard. Full air conditioning, Wi‑Fi, and a TV in the saloon keep downtime civilized, while the BBQ and indoor audio system cover the low-effort “let’s eat and play music” plan.

Transcript — Full Walkthrough of the Leopard 58' Sea Esta
>> Captain Brad: Hi everyone, I'm Brad Marquardt. I'm the captain of Sea Esta.
>> Captain Christy: Good morning, and I'm Christy Marquardt. I'm the chef on Sea Esta.
>> Captain Brad: And we're going to go ahead and show you around Sea Esta here, just to give you an idea of what the guests can find here on board. So, starting there in the cockpit, we're going to move forward and check out the foredeck and some of our toys.
[music]
>> Captain Brad: So here we're at the bow of Sea Esta, and we got a couple of features to point out. We've got a lot of toys splayed out for everybody, and we really love active families, so we're happy to get toys out during charter. We've got this awesome new hammock. And then if you pan around over here, you can see that we've got this cool feature on this Leopard 58 of this porch area that actually leads into the two upper cabins that we have on board. Guests really love this for the morning, especially. They can bring their coffee straight out here and sit in the lounge chairs and just relax with the shade. Or if we're underway, the kids often will be up on the trampolines while parents are back here in the shade, just relaxing and watching the kids have a good time. Let's move on back and check out the flybridge real quick here.
[music]
>> Captain Brad: Watch your step on the stairs here.
[music]
>> Captain Brad: Great. So here we have probably the largest flybridge in the show. We certainly have enough space for a group of 10 to all be up here at the same time, which we just really love. We've even had up to 23 people up here once during a tandem charter and just had a really a blast up here with all those people. So while we're underway, it's very typical for guests to be up here with us, and I'll be at the wheel, of course. And sometimes I can provide some sailing instruction or some knots instruction and just enjoy doing that. But otherwise, there's a lot of space up here, and we keep the drinks cold here and here, and uh, wet bar action.
>> Captain Christy: What's that, Christy? This is a happy hour.
>> Captain Brad: Oh, yes. Definitely happy hour space as well. We tend to do our appetizer here on this table in the center. And yeah, guests just love the breeze that comes through up here and the views. Typically, you can see the sea life so much better from up here. This vantage point allows for that. So yeah, it's a cool spot. So we'll head back down to the cockpit, the aft deck here.
[music]
>> Captain Brad: So yeah, this is where we provide dining for the three main meals each day. As I said, appetizers would typically do upstairs, as long as it's not too windy. But this provides just a beautiful setting, you know, big views all around and uh, and good breeze, so it stays nice and comfortable back here for the guests. Yeah.
>> Captain Christy: So from here, we'll just go ahead and head inside.
>> Captain Brad: Sure.
>> Captain Christy: So stepping into the salon, we've got a nice spacious salon. One of the things I like best about this space is the tall ceilings, and we've got these hatches up there that we can open up. In addition to the awesome breeze we get from these forward rooms, it's just a very, very comfortable space to hang out during the day. This table in the salon can fold in for a little more room. I haven't done too many meals at this table, except for one time we had a rainy day, and I could comfortably sit 10 people around the table. There's a couple stools that come out here, so that's great. And then I love my galley. I especially love it because it's not a walk-through galley, so I kind of have my own space here. But guests can also sit in the salon and hang out and talk with me while I'm prepping food. Um, yeah, so nice comfortable salon and galley. And then besides the flybridge, this is, these two rooms up here are kind of like some of our favorite things about the boat. These rooms are unique in that guests who maybe have mobility issues, you know, they don't have to climb as many stairs to get in here. Or if they feel a little claustrophobic being down, um, below deck, you know, you're up here where you can see everything. And so it's just a really nice feature of the Leopard 58. So we take 10 guests, so we have five guest bedrooms. So the two up here, and then we'll come on down to the port side where we have two more queen cabins.
[music]
>> Captain Christy: So, forward starboard queen bedroom. It's nice and cozy. I would say this is probably the master. It's, they're all pretty similar in size, but this one has slightly more closet space. We've got kind of shelves and stuff here. And then back here, these open up to huge hanging closets on the side behind the door. Um, the bathroom has a shower. It's not a wet head. It's got a door, and it's got a little curtain. It's kind of fun, you know, you can look out the window while you're showering. And this is the starboard aft queen cabin. Also quite cozy. I love the pillows in this room. Um, yeah, so take a look around. There's lots of windows. It's very comfortable, very, very bright down here, even for being down below.
[music]
>> Captain Christy: And then, um, we'll come up gradually here and step over to the port side. You might want to check out this port side upper room as well. So I have these doors all the way, they slide all the way open right now, but they do have another level. I can show you. So this can shut for a little more privacy here. And then the guests can close the door for complete privacy. That's just a nice feature to be able to totally open it up like that. Cool. All right, well, let's go down to the port side. So we have, um, a queen cabin forward, but currently that's our crew room. So I'll let you come down and check out this port side aft twin cabin.
[music]
>> Captain Christy: This is a really cool feature of this boat too. I will say that 90% of our charters last season opted for the twin cabin over the queen cabin. Um, it's great for kids that don't want to share a bed, or if you have, you know, an odd number of travelers, and um, or just adults that don't mind sleeping separately. We, this room's great for that. Um, we always check with the guests too, though. And if any, if we have five sets of couples that want to share, um, you know, everyone wants a queen bed, we are totally happy to move. We just swap rooms, and we take the twin cabin. But as it is now, we're in the, we're in the forward room. It's just kind of worked out that way.
[music]
>> Captain Christy: All right, yeah, yeah, so that's the majority of the interior, I think. So we'll sit down and do some interview questions.

Thank you for the best week ever!
Hurricanes, jellyfish, trying new food, (shout out to Ally), excursions by Bubba and storytelling… best week ever! Thank you for putting up with our crew and making us feel like family, our trip would not have been the same without the two of you! I can’t wait to tell stories from this trip for the rest of my life, truly memorable! The Eagle and I will be back to the Virgin Islands and I hope it’s with you again!
Love y’all,
Carly
Bubba and Ally,
Time flies when you’re having fun. Thank you both for an amazing week. This trip has easily been one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. We are also fortunate to have such an amazing crew – it is so cool to experience the combination of hard work and genuinity in you! Bubba is an absolute stud of a captain and Ally a rockstar chef and co-captain. I’ve really been looking forward to this trip because I knew in my gut Carly and I needed a special experience like this to solidify the fact that she will hopefully consider me as her husband. This trip was the experience and much more. Thank you for making it happen.
-Ben
Bubba and Ally,
This was the best week of my life and I really think nothing can top this. I will tell my kids about you and the ways Bubba got me out of my comfort zone like I’ve never been. You made me feel safe and you don’t even know how hard that is. My favorite part was snorkeling with you and watching you cliff jump. You’re just cool and awesome. Ally, don’t even have words except I am really going to miss you. You are an amazing human but seriously a girls girl, and just so fun to be around. All in all I am so lucky to have met you. Bubba, you are also a friend. Joe hard you both worked to put us first out of everything and still hung with us to the point that we are family and true friends is beyond so special words can’t say this enough but thank you!!
Love you both!
-Brada
Guys where do I begin… This week has been one I will never forget! When we got on board you said your goal is to make It a week we will never forget and the only thing I could say mission accomplished. The other word mentioned was family when we got on and with this crew family is a must and we’re so happy to have you. It’s weird I’m gonna miss you right? I don’t care!
Xoxo,
Ellie Labarr
My goodness talk about lifetime memories! Our parents have been talking about this trip for as long as I can remember. Thank you for living up to it. You two are truly impressive. Thank you for feeding us, keeping us safe, and happy!
Xo,
Masie Labarr
Ally and Bubba,
Hey, it’s me Mary. I am so thankful and fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet you two amazing human beings. You two remind me not to take life too seriously and to live the life you want. It’s a cool thing when you meet someone and you feel like you’ve been friends/met before, that’s how I felt with you all. Thank you guys for the tiramisu and chum bucket.
Love,
Mary Labarr
Thank you for the absolute best week of my life. I am so blessed to have had you as our crew. I had even more fun getting to know both of you. This trip would not have been the same without you. You guys executed the week perfectly. Made everyone feel safe, made everyone feel welcome, and truly felt like family. The memories I was able to make with my best friends, family, future family has been so special. I do believe our paths will cross again.
I also look forward to flying out to visit the ranch. Thank you guys again for welcoming us into your home and creating an unforgettable week.
Love,
Matt Bano
Susan and I saw this trip as a chance to have a memory to be shared with our four boys that would bring us closer… It did that but it also promised personal growth I never dreamed possible. Thank you for getting to know our boys as if they are your own family. Thank you for learning what would make each person’s experience the most incredible, then delivering the experience with the best energy.
Our first trip was spectacular, but doing this with our family and with you as extended family exceeded all expectations. Thank you for letting us into your life, being real, and sharing in abundance. Our comfort zones have been stretched, our heart have been filled, and we head home with hearts of gratitude for this blessing. Can’t wait to see you in Boston and South Dakota.
Love you and cannot wait until the next adventure!
Ally, the food was outstanding and you made it look so easy to juggle all your roles. Your roots in
St. John run beyond just family. You have that aura. Thank you for sharing it this week. Awesome job!
Love – Suzanne & Will Current
Dear Bubba and Ally,
The idea of writing isn’t one that usually excites me… However, this is an exception – while being a great crew, captain and chef y’all have been better role models and family. The idea of the last hurrah for the family before additions were added, came about a couple of weeks ago. Without a moment's hesitation, the stories of Captain Bubba and the boat trip revealed this to be the only option. With high expectations for Iceland I didn’t know what to place the same burden on a trip or crew however, I couldn’t contain the butterflies. Even with overwhelming expectations you guys delivered. The precise mix of food, adventure, and rest, led to an amazing experience. However, I couldn’t have predicted the conversations that would occur. That waited years to arise, ones between brothers, parents and kids, and between friends. You all allowed the place for these conversations to flourish while engaging with new perspectives. The food, hikes, snorkeling, diving, e-filing, etc.. are experiences that will remain with me. Lastly, I’ve been able to watch my family enjoy themselves. I watched Jack conquer his fear of heights, and Henry observed another free spirit balance, work and fun. You all blessed my parents and I with the time to become friends rather than just a son or a parent. Tripp you all allowed to be Tripp and to do Tripp/ While I’ll be taking away a full belly and some new clothes, the conversations and the adventures I will cherish forever. Words can’t express my gratitude, but thank you Ally and Bubba for the vacation where there was a little heaven on earth.
Cheers,
George
The food was outstanding, with a touch of island flare. The boat felt like home by the end of the first day. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out with the flybridge, bedroom patio seating, outdoor dining table, and front trampolines, which our grandchildren loved.
We will definitely be back to Sea Esta!
-Carl and Eunice Frey
Our kiddos ate foods they never would have eaten at home, and hiked trails that they talked about for days after we returned home. There was adventure around every corner, but relaxation if we chose. We saw the islands in ways that one can only reach by boat.
Thank you Sea Esta for an unforgettable week!
-John and Julie
Our kids loved getting a chance to be at the helm under the supervision of the captain, and helping create napkin designs with Chef. Thank you for a wonderful trip.
We will definitely be back to Sea Esta!
-Hans and Mandy
We were able hike to Anaburgh Sugar Mill, visit Windmill Bar from a short open-air taxi ride from Cruz Bay, and experience Lime Out floating taco bar. Our crew was ready with easy harbor drop offs in the rain, short cuts to hiking trails, and were ready to accommodate our requests with a smile. The food was always enough, as I went back for seconds several times for the amazing cuisine.
Sea Esta was ready to sail the open ocean, or motor in the quiet coves. Hot tea and coffee in the salon was the homey feel we looked forward to in the morning.
We have recommended Sea Esta to our other Michigan friends as a warm escape in the winter months, and hope to be back sooner rather than later.
-Dirk and Jenn
Our trip was a reunion of 4 college friend couples. This trip offered us plenty of time to spend together, while also having space to feel like we could have time as a couple.
Sea Esta was spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to be together, or be apart.
Every meal was more delicious than the previous one, and Chef knew exactly how to meet everyone's preference of drinks and food. We loved the surf and turf from the grill, as well as the island inspired meals. The cocktail of the day, as well as personalized itineraries felt very special to us.
Our crew knew just where to take us for the variety of preferences of our group. Island hiking, snorkeling quiet bays, watching the sunset atop the hills, and our own personal concert on the our last day were highlights. We loved the opportunities to relax on the lily pad and floats, as well as play board games around the table at night. This was a perfect setting for us to reconnect from our busy lives.
The breeze atop the flybridge while open sailing listening to island music is a feeling I will long remember.
I miss Sea Esta already.
