Presented by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht OKEANA is a 49 ft sailing catamaran. OKEANA spends the winter season in British Virgin Islands. She was constructed by the well-known ship builder Bali Catamarans in 2020. The spacious yacht layout features 4 cozy cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 8 guests.

OKEANA is classified primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the heart of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is expansive, with a comfortable dining and seating area and usually it where you, as a charter guest, spend most of your time. The immersive cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. The cabins are located below the main saloon, connected by stairs (inquire about handicapped access). Multiple portholes connect you with the outside world.

Captain: Daniel

Captain Dal comes from Yorkshire, in the North of England, and has been sailing since childhood, serving as a professional Captain for 11 years through the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Bahamas. Specialising almost exclusively in crewed yachts and luxury crewed charters, onboard sailing catamarans, and monohulls upto 76 feet, Dal's love for sailing and the yachting lifestyle as a whole has extended into a passion for new adventures, immersing himself in a variety of cultures, meeting new and unlikely people, and hospitality.

Ensuring that he and his team provide their clients the absolute best possible experience on and offboard is a top priority, whilst providing a guest-focused, engaging, friendly and fun atmosphere. Dal is a keen and enthusiastic free diver, scuba diver, sailor, engineer, motorsports and soccer lover, and exceptionally laid-back and easygoing.

Chef Lauren was born and raised on the east coast of South Africa where fishing, sailing and everything ocean was her way of life. She has been a chef on yachts for the past 8 years and loves everything ocean related. Her passion is cooking and guest satisfaction where she can show case her artistic flare in the galley. She's an avid surfer with a love for the outdoors, traveling and meeting interesting people on the way.

Trip was perfect!
Our family of 5 and my sister in law spent a week sailing in the BVI on the “Okeana” in July 2021. Our captain was Raphael (“Raph”) Marshall-Naef, and our chef was Isabel Sollberg. Everything about the trip was perfect. Raph is a great captain with lots of experience sailing in the BVI, and he took us to all of the best snorkeling spots and fun locations like Soggy Dollar and Willy T’s. Isabel’s cooking was amazing. Best of all, Raph and Isabel are two of the nicest and most fun people you could meet. Our family has done a lot of traveling and everyone thought it was the best trip ever. We all highly recommend Raph and Isabel, 10 out of 10 stars!!

Amazing Week on Okeana!
We spent an amazing week sailing the islands of the BVIs on a 49 foot catamaran, the Okeana! She is a beautiful yacht with a great open design. The best part of the Okeana is the crew. The Skipper, Raph is knowledgeable of the waters and attractions, super competent and confident. He made sure we had a safe, fun and relaxing adventure. Isabel, the chef catered to our every culinary and dietary need. Each meal was beautifully presented and delicious! Isabel took great effort to accommodate to each of our dietary restrictions and tastes. This was a first sailing charter for most of our party and everyone had a great time! We will definitely be back!

It was this trip that caused him to fall in love with all things Ocean and he promptly obtained his RYA Yachtmaster. <br /> <br /> During this time, he also acquired his bachelor's degree at the University of Leeds but the pull of getting paid to do something he loved was too strong and he returned to a life on the Ocean. <br /> <br /> To date he has completed 4 Atlantic Crossings, 1 Pacific crossing and over 50 charters, so as well as being a fun, friendly and easy-going addition to your group, know you’ll be in extremely safe and experienced hands, too. <br /> <br /> Isabel has been chef/mate for almost five years now, in between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean sea. Growing up by the coast sailing with family and friends she became passionate about the ocean and nature.<br /> <br /> She has a background in Geography with master degree research on sustainable agriculture working on eco lodge farms developing food products, specially cocoa and chocolate. After 10 years dedicated to that, she decided to pursue her dream of sailing. Cooking became naturally her passion on board exploring local ingredients, researching culinary uses and organic producers around the places she visits for work including many vineyards in Italy Tuscany, France, Portugal and Croatia.<br /> <br /> Now she has more than 10000 miles on board of many private and charter boats. Always happy to provide meals made with her love and care for her guests.
