Crew

Captain: Scott Ferris

Captain Scott Ferris Scott runs Cuan Law with tight, easy confidence, mixing deep knowledge of the boat with an easygoing humor that keeps dives sharp and the atmosphere loose. He knows every system and every bay, so guests get smooth sailing, clean logistics, and dives that feel dialed-in rather than improvised.
  • RYA Yachtmaster licensed captain
  • Over 9 years’ sailing and 9 years’ charter captain experience
  • Worked in every onboard role on Cuan Law except chef (steward, divemaster, engineer, first mate)
  • Leads and trains crew in “Cuan Law Way” operations and guest service

Ariel grew up in Tortola and Thailand, so he reads the islands and the machinery the same way—fast, instinctive, and always pushing to keep Cuan Law running smooth for long, easy days on the water. Guests feel that in quiet engines, clean turnarounds, and dive support that just appears when it’s needed.
  • Born and raised on Tortola; lived and worked in Thailand from age 12
  • Joined Cuan Law in 2017 as steward; progressing to Engineer/Mate
  • Certified diver working toward Divemaster qualification
  • Assists in galley with cooking, drawing on time spent in Thailand

Reka moves through the water like she owns it, spotting the small, strange things most people miss and turning each dive into a sharp, story-worthy run rather than just another reef tour. She keeps guests relaxed but focused, so even new divers come up feeling like they saw the real Caribbean, not the postcard.
  • Hungarian from Transylvania, Romania; joined Cuan Law in early 2018
  • Professional dive guide with experience in Mexico, Thailand, Australia, and Mozambique
  • Specialized in shark-watch guiding and underwater photography
  • Leads shore hikes and rock explorations around the BVI, including Virgin Gorda’s Baths

Patrick cooks like the day is built around the next meal, dropping out plates that hit hard on flavor but stay light enough to keep you diving, sailing, and moving. Guests don’t just get fed; they get a steady run of dishes that feel tuned to the boat’s pace and the heat of the islands.
  • From the USA
  • Over 10 years’ sailing experience

Sabina keeps dive operations tight and calm, lining up gear, briefings, and entries so guests step off the platform knowing exactly what they’re doing and what they’re going to see. Her focus is straight: clean safety, clear communication, and dives that run on time without feeling rushed.
  • From the USA
  • Professional dive crew member on Cuan Law

Abbie and Joe move through the boat in the background, clearing, resetting, and anticipating, so cabins stay sharp and the salon feels ready every time you walk in. Service lands fast but low-key, letting guests relax without having to ask twice for anything.
  • Abbie Martin – USA; steward role aboard Cuan Law
  • Joe Diaz Jackson – Honduras; steward role aboard Cuan Law
