Welcome aboard this brand new, first class 2022 Lagoon 65!

Available for charter in the British Virgin Islands, we provide luxury accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 spacious VIP cabins (1 King, 3 Queens). We are the only model with a custom enlarged Master cabin King bed, and double size shower for your comfort. Featuring spacious cabins, dining areas both in the cockpit and enormous flybridge, boasting 2 bars, numerous sunning spots (or shade!) and dual helm stations, this really is a masterpiece yacht. Onboard you will experience the luxury service of full board and an open bar.

Three experienced crew members will cater to your every whim, both onboard and on the water! We will set sail and discover perfect bays, secret coves, swim with turtles, and explore the islands that have inspired stories of pirates and treasure for centuries.

Offered by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht AURA is a 65 ft sailing catamaran. The highlights of AURA are her most appealing features and interconnection with the sea. AURA spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. She was delivered by the ship builder Lagoon in 2023. The well-planned yacht layout features 4 large cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 8 guests.

AURA is introduced primarily as a sailing catamaran. The central space of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is expansive, with a comfortable dining and seating area and that's where most of the meals are served. The tastefully decorated cabins are connected by stairs to the main saloon - roomy, comfortable and pleasant. The cabins offer unbeatable views in the morning and are located just below deck. Multiple portholes connect you with the outside world.

The sailboat features Yanmar X2 150 HP 21 KW Onan & 16 KW Onan engines .

Crew Information

Captain: Jos Smart

Jos and Julia hail from England and have been traveling together for over 11 years. After meeting whilst teaching watersports in Greece, they subsequently ran luxury ski chalets and villas in Europe before transitioning to yachting. They have been chartering in the Caribbean together for over 8 years.

Jos earned his commercial Yachtmaster qualification from the Royal Yachting Association and holds all the necessary credentials to safely captain AURA throughout your charter. He will also be your Divemaster onboard, showing certified divers the magic of the underwater world. We've lost count, but he has over 400 dives with guests here in the BVI. An avid fisherman, he will also spend hours with those wanting to fish!

Julia enjoys looking after the guests onboard and ensuring they are happy, having fun, and never with an empty glass in hand! Originally from an education background, she especially enjoys families and kids onboard. For active guests, she will happily take those looking for an adventure hiking on the trails around the BVI. Both love what they do and are committed to creating vacations you will remember for a lifetime.

Captain Jos and Julia planned an amazing tour incorporating our preferences and enhanced it with locations and special sightings that we didn’t know existed. The galaxy of starfish, the hidden secrets of the BVI that a self-crewed yacht would never know, it was a whole new experience. <br /> <br /> Jos: Not only was Jos a seasoned Captain, but he also had endless energy to keep our trip fun for our entire family. I was so happy that he spent time with my 16-year-old son to teach him about sailing, fishing, foil surfing, scuba diving, halyard swinging, cliff jumping and sea-bobbing. Jos planned each day from morning until night while tirelessly entertaining my high energy teen. It was such a nice break for me as a widow and single parent. It warmed my heart to see my son learning and enjoying himself every day. It’s an experience he will never forget!<br /> <br /> Julia: First mate and stewardess, so professional and nurturing. Her anticipation and timing of our needs were perfectly endless. She would have cool lemongrass scented cloths and ice water ready after each excursion and anticipated our need for a refilled drink or dry towel throughout our trip. Julia made us feel like we’d been friends forever. I know they have a big job running this yacht, but if there was ever any stress for her or any of the crew, you would never know it. Julia and Jos, so perfectly matched, worked seamlessly together. Such a joy to see. <br /> <br /> Kim: All I can say is Food, Food, Food! Yum, Yum, Yum! She is the most amazing Chef! I just wanted to take her home with me. I ate entirely too much because my taste buds were so happy every day! You will not go hungry, and she will cater to your every desire. Thank you Kim!
