Charter questions

Can I pay for my yacht charter with a credit card?

Short answer: no. We do not accept card payments, and neither do most central agents. Charter payments go by bank transfer, from the charterer’s own account.

The reason is chargebacks. A card payment can be reversed months later, after the week has been sailed and the crew paid, and the owner carries the loss. That risk is why the whole industry settled on transfers, and it is why a transfer gets you the better terms.

There is a narrow exception that is not ours to grant. On a very late booking a central agent may occasionally take a card for their own portion. That is between you and that agent, and it is not something we can arrange.

If you were hoping for the points, put the card toward the flights instead.
