We are more than 12 guests. Should we take one yacht or two?

In the BVI, first let us check for one boat: this is one of the few destinations with a handful of catamarans licensed beyond 12 guests, and a group of 13 can sometimes stay together on a single yacht. Beyond that, two boats is the answer, and usually the better vacation anyway.

Two yachts cruising together, a tandem charter, fits the BVI perfectly: short distances mean the boats are never far apart, they pick up neighboring mooring balls in the same bay, and the group mixes at Soggy Dollar or over dinner ashore.
