Charter questions

How far in advance should I book a BVI yacht charter?

For Christmas, New Year, and the February-March prime weeks: 9 to 12 months, and the most-loved catamarans with star chefs book even earlier, some the day their calendar opens. The BVI has the most loyal repeat clientele in chartering, and repeat guests rebook their favorite boats before the public ever sees the dates.

For the rest of the winter season, 4 to 8 months out still gives a real choice; the rate calendar shows exactly when pricing shifts. Late spring and summer are the flexible months, where good boats can be found weeks out, sometimes with an offer accepted.

Not sure yet? Inquire anyway: if the trip is even half likely, it is the right time to look, and asking costs nothing.
