Welcome Aboard S/Y Whisper: Winner of ShowBoats Awards' 2004, "Best Sailing Yacht Under 40 meters." It's what luxury sailing yachts and luxury yacht charters were meant to be. Launched in May 2003 at Holland Jachtbouw yard in Amsterdam, Whisper is available for the most discerning of clients who seek luxury yacht charters and corporate yacht charters in the Caribbean, Bahamas and New England.
WHISPER is what happens when a performance sailboat and a gentleman’s club decide to share one hull. A 116ft award‑winning sloop by Holland Jachtbouw with Ted Hood/Fontaine and Winch Design in the same sentence, she’s built for people who actually care how a yacht sails, and also care what the dessert course looks like.
The serious draw: she’s a ShowBoats “Best Sailing Yacht under 40m” winner with a deep centerboard and retractable “rudder‑within‑a‑rudder” setup, so you get real offshore power reaching and still sneak into shallow bays everyone else is only photographing.
For living, not just sailing: WHISPER sleeps 6 guests in 3 ensuite cabins, led by a full‑beam master suite with its own office and private aft companionway – essentially a backstage entrance for adults. Bathrobes, slippers, and full L’Occitane kits are standard, because so is hot water and civilization.
Social architecture is dialed in: a raised pilothouse with 360‑degree views and a bar, a huge shaded cockpit that seats 10, and a full‑beam salon. Translation: you can sail hard on deck, then rotate seamlessly through bar, dinner, and movie without tripping over anyone’s laptop or ego.
Toy box included: 15’ Rendova tender with 115hp, water skis (adult and kids), wakeboards, paddleboards, kayak, towable toys, snorkel and fishing gear, plus yoga mats, bands and weights for people who refuse to skip leg day just because there’s a sunset.
Bandwidth & brains: VSAT/Wi‑Fi, satellite comms, flat‑screen TVs in key zones, distributed audio and iPod docks everywhere—so you can run a business, a movie night, or a mutiny playlist without friction.
Crew is the cheat code: five pros including a culinary‑trained chef and a captain who’s been doing this since before “experiential travel” was a marketing term. They’ll happily teach you to sail or treat you as fragile cargo, depending on your chosen persona.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailboat like WHISPER, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price ($11,250 - $22,500), making the charter cost $86,250 to $97,500. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.
WHISPER Yacht Charter Price
| # of charter days | Base Price | APA (deposit for provisioning, fuel, docking fees, etc) | Total | Note | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14 day charter | 150,000USD to 172,500USD | 30,000USD to 51,750USD | 180,000USD to 224,250USD | Discounts outside the main season are common. | |
| 7 day charter | 75,000USD to 86,250USD | 15,000USD to 25,875USD | 90,000USD to 112,125USD | Standard charter rate, base for all calculations. | |
| 3 day charter | 37,500USD to 43,125USD | 7,500USD to 12,938USD | 45,000USD to 56,063USD | The usual formula is the 7 day charter rate divided by 6, times the number of days (3). Boat policy might differ. 75,000USD / 6 * 3 days = 37,500USD |
All prices are generated by a calculator and serve as a guide for new charterers. Any additional information of the Price Details section has priority over above. Availability is always subject to confirmation. Gratuity not included for it's discretionary character, usually 5%-25% of the Base Price.

Reviews
Captain was excellent. Please pass on our thanks and enjoyment to the Owner. We would love to charter again! It was a memorable trip. Altogether a big success!!
We had a very nice time. This is really an excellent yacht, the best I have been on in a long time, in terms of appearance, upkeep, amenities, etc. Also the crew was the best we have had. This one gets very good reviews.
