SOUTH Yacht Description

Start with the important bit: SOUTH is basically a floating wellness resort welded to a floating water park. On one side: an XL deck jacuzzi and swimming pool that actually fits your group, massive sunpads and a full beach club at sea level. On the other: a dedicated massage room with onboard masseuse, plus sauna and steam room, so your “day of water toys” doesn’t end with sore muscles, it ends with heat, steam and zero regrets.

Built by Heesen in 2012 and refit as recently as 2023, this 180ft yacht is set up for 12 guests in 6 en‑suite cabins, including a main-deck master with its own private office for those who insist on pretending to work. Interior and exterior come from Omega Architects, which in practice means huge, clean-lined social spaces: a big bridge-deck lounge, wide aft decks for proper group dining, and a sundeck designed around the hot tub, not the other way round.

The “do stuff” side is equally serious: a proper gym (TechnoGym kit, Peloton, treadmill, free weights, yoga gear) with sliding doors for indoor-outdoor training, plus a 6,000nm range if you feel like actually using the word “expedition” without irony. At water level, SOUTH deploys a 41’ Valhalla towed tender, WaveRunners, Seabobs, e-foil, inflatable slide with a 21-foot drop, pontoon floats and the usual wakeboards, skis, towables and snorkel/scuba rendezvous setup. Translation: if someone is bored on this boat, it’s not the boat.

Backing all this up is a 13‑person, charter‑savvy crew (including a dedicated masseuse and serious chef), Starlink Wi‑Fi for those who can’t log off, and full stabilizers at anchor so the whole wellness/water-park/superyacht concept stays level while you enjoy it.

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a motor yacht like SOUTH, the expected APA is 25% to 40% of the charter price ($73,750 - $118,000), making the charter cost $368,750 to $413,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

295,000USD / 6 * 3 days = 147,500USD

All prices are generated by a calculator and serve as a guide for new charterers. Any additional information of the Price Details section has priority over above. Availability is always subject to confirmation. Gratuity not included for it's discretionary character, usually 5%-25% of the Base Price.

Reviews

SOUTH
***January 2024***
“This was our best charter yet. They have a very solid program; you could not go wrong sending clients to this boat. I don’t have anything to complain about even if I really tried. Every person that works on that boat does very well in their roles. They are very very good.”

“Out of all the captains we have had, you can definitely see that Charles has the most experience. He’s picked a really amazing crew. It was a super incredible time.”
