Providing a large tilt-and-turn door and sliding windows for a never ending grand vision on the ocean. Galaxsea promises a 5-star luxury charter yacht that is modern and eminently stylish!

Offered by DMA Yachting, the majestic charter yacht Galaxsea is a 54 ft sailing catamaran. Galaxsea spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. She was constructed by the well-known ship builder Bali Catamarans in 2019. The well-planned yacht layout features 4 large cabins and comfortably accommodates a maximum of 8 guests.

Galaxsea is offered primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the core layout is spread out from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is generous, with a prominent dining and seating area and usually it where you, as a charter guest, spend most of your time. The tastefully decorated cabins are connected by stairs to the main saloon - roomy, comfortable and pleasant. The cabins are located below the main saloon, connected by stairs (inquire about handicapped access). Multiple portholes provide a connection with the natural world outside.

Captain: Adam Bagnall

Captain Adam
Originally from Ireland, Adam’s passion for sailing was sparked on the rugged West Coast at the Sligo Yacht Club, where he spent countless summers as a young camper before stepping into an instructor role. His dedication and leadership culminated in two seasons as Senior Instructor—during which the club earned the prestigious title of Irish Sailing Club of the Year. A formative sail around the entire island of Ireland deepened his love for offshore cruising and set the stage for his career on the water.

Adam is a graduate of Maynooth University, where he studied International Business on a rugby scholarship and spent a year abroad through the Erasmus+ program in Valencia, Spain. Yet no matter where academics took him, the sea was never far behind—he spent his summers skippering flotilla armadas across the Mediterranean, quickly rising to the role of lead skipper.

In December 2024, Adam expanded his horizons with a memorable passage around Guadeloupe, Antigua, and Barbuda, where he fell in love with the vibrant rhythm of the Caribbean. He went on to complete the 2024/2025 charter season in the British Virgin Islands and now looks forward to welcoming guests aboard, sharing his seamanship, stories, and the spirit of adventure that brought him here.

Originally from the UK, Chef Samantha has spent much of her twenties living between France, Croatia, and Colombia—drawn to destinations with rich cultures, vibrant food scenes, and life by the water. Her path to the galley began early, inspired by a love of hosting and an ever-growing curiosity about food. What started with dinner parties at home evolved into a full-time culinary career at sea.

Samantha has now completed three successful charter seasons across Croatia and the British Virgin Islands, most recently serving as sole Chef and First Mate aboard the luxury catamaran Luna Bliss. There, she was responsible for everything from provisioning and crafting customized menus to sailing, line handling, and maintaining a pristine guest-ready yacht.

With a background in hospitality and formal culinary training, Samantha brings both creativity and composure under pressure to every charter. She specializes in vibrant fusion cuisine that blends global flavors with fresh, local ingredients, and holds a special appreciation for classic French cooking. Each menu she creates is tailored to the guests, with flexibility, flavor, and beautiful presentation always at the forefront.

When she’s not in the galley, Samantha stays active through sailing, tennis, skiing, scuba diving, and exploring new cultures through food and language. For her, the magic of yachting lies in creating unforgettable moments—through thoughtful service, meaningful connections, and meals that bring people together. And as a trained salsa dancer, guests might just find themselves picking up a few new moves if the music and mood are right!

Xander's knowledge about the boat, the sea, each island and yacht week was stellar. He was exceptionally helpful in communicating updates, recommending things to do/dinner venues and booking said venues. Captain Xander was amazing. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism, safety, and fun during a seriously challenging week due to the Corona Virus situation. The whole time maintaining a positive attitude and checking in with each of us personally to still give us the best vacation possible. Personally, I was interested in learning about sailing, and Xander was more than happy to nerd out with me, which was great. Even though it was my first charter, I really can’t imagine having a better, more receptive, and friendly skipper!

We had so many different options, everyone always had enough. We kept saying she couldn’t top one meal, and then she’d top it with the next one. If we ate a lot at breakfast, she was flexible about lunch time. She was very attentive and was quick on her feet to making use of what was available. She was super friendly, talkative, energetic, bubbly, funny, and we loved hanging with her. Especially me I got to talk to her a lot and she was awesome. Up early, working hard, on task, cleaning up, not leaving any messes, washing dishes right after meals, and always so helpful to us on setting up/coordinating dinners and hanging with us. Really feel like I made a genuine friend with her too.

When I think of peaches I think of Taylor. Her energy and smile alone made the week that much more fun. Her food was Michelin 3 stars. She was always on point with everything, from getting our tables set up to helping us with jet skis. Taylor is an Aussie but moving to the US and I can't wait to reunite with her in October.

We challenged you to free us from quarantine and pandemic induced claustrophobic blues while also keeping us safe. You were wildly successful! Xander sailed us to beautiful hidden harbors and secluded beaches without requiring us to look at our watches or a calendar for that matter. Xander accommodated our desire to feel productive by accepting less than effective gestures of help in anchoring and mooring making us feel like contributors despite increasing his workload. Taylor's meals were inspired, delicious, and beautiful gourmet courses. When the local restaurants shut down mid week, new onboard menus were planned and delivered without missing a beat. Not only were you competent at adjusting to unplanned curveballs, you did so in a way that made it seem like the plan all along. By the end of the trip we were calling you "mom and dad" despite us being twice your age. You were the coolest "parents on the boat" since you fed us a never-ending stream of painkillers. We highly recommend you as perfect hosts for any group looking to dip their toes in the water and adolescence, secure that you'll keep them from drowning in either.
