DEEPBLUE yacht is a 46.00 ft long sailboat catamaran and spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. It was built by Leopard in 2011. A refit was done in 2016. The yacht layout features 3 cabins and accommodates 6 guests. The cabin arrangement is following: 3 queen cabins.

The sailboat features 2 X 54hp Yanmars 9Kw generator 3500w invertor engines and a generator.

Captain Phil

Growing up in London Phil worked extensively within the hospitality industry. His vast experience managing teams in different restaurants throughout London and the quaint English countryside of Kent taught him the high standards of excellent customer care and service he brings to yachting.

Travelling with Florrie to Bali, Australia and California before settling in Antigua where Phil qualified as an RYA yacht master offshore has transformed Phil’s passion in life to sailing. He loves being on the ocean and enjoying the outdoors. Phil has a broad and in depth knowledge of the Caribbean from Antigua to Grenada; and has even completed an Atlantic crossing - an experience and adventure he will never forget!

He looks forward to sharing his passion with guests and taking them around the beautiful Virgin Islands. His favourite part of the day is entertaining guests with craft cocktails and tales of adventures while the sun sets.

Florrie - First mate/ Dive Instructor/ Chef

With an incredibly lively, outgoing, sparkly personality Florrie will make your vacation as enjoyable and as fun as possible! Florrie takes great delight in sharing the flavours of the world with you. Quality of produce and locally sourced fresh foods remain the mainstay of her cooking.

A traveller from an early age Florrie has a great appreciation for the cuisine and culture of many different countries. With a degree in Marine Science she has travelled and worked extensively in the marine industry, as well as earning her dive instruction certification. Working aboard the largest commercial sailing Trimaran in the world as the chief stewardess in the British Virgin Islands allowed her to refine her skills and cement her belief in superior customer service. Armed with the knowledge of awesome diving and snorkelling spots throughout the BVI she’s sure to add amazing adventures to your vacation.

As a RYA Yacht master with experience across the Caribbean including an Atlantic crossing she’s a great help to Phil when she’s not in the galley!

Breakfast


Fresh fruit, juice or fruit smoothie, coffee and a selection of tea are served with breakfast every day.


Thick cut toast topped with smashed avocado, scrambled or poached eggs with crispy bacon and baked 'on the vine' cherry tomatoes.


Smoked salmon on a toasted bagel spread with cream cheese, capers and topped with pickled red onion and a sprinkle of dill.


American style pancakes served with butter and/or maple syrup with a side of crispy bacon and/or mixed berries.


English breakfast with a choice of fried or scrambled egg, baked beans, fried mushrooms, sliced baked tomatoes, crispy bacon, sausages and toast with butter.


Breakfast burritos made with scrambled cheesy eggs, crumbled sausage, tomato salsa, guacamole and sour cream.


Mixed egg muffins served three ways with a choice of tomato, spinach, mozzarella and/or bacon, cheddar and/or garlic, mushroom and pepper. Breakfast sausage served on the side.


Continental style breakfast which includes a selection of yoghurt, local organic honey and granola with fresh baked banana bread, mini croissants and with a choice of spreads and butter.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Phil and Flo. Considering that we had 2 other boats and captains cancel on us, I think it was Karma that lead us to Deep Blue. We can't even imagine having spent this time with anyone other than Phil and Flo. Everyday we would all look at each other and say "How do we tell people about This experience?" They made everyday relaxing, an adventure and just plain fun! When they can sail to the BVI's, we will be planning another trip with them.

Our charter aboard Deep Blue was EXCEPTIONAL. The crew and boat did not disappoint! Captains Phil and Flo have dynamic, super-fun and energetic personalities which are absolutely fantastic! The daily enthusiasm aboard the boat was contagious from sunrise to sunset. Flo's cooking was absolutely superb - well suited for 5 stars, in our opinion. Phil's commitment to safe boat operations, strict chart navigation and exceptional situational awareness gave us the "we are in good hands" feeling 24 hours a day. The quarters were kept clean, tidy and in exemplary condition. We loved all of our mooring and anchorage locations, despite the inclement weather on some days (which of course cannot be helped). We loved the newly added swim float/slide combo and stern swim platform! Deep Blue, Phil and Flo hold a special place with all of us and what a marvelous trip we had. OUTSTANDING vacation!! Please ensure this feedback is passed to the owner and the crew!

An absolute dream vacation! Flo and Phil could not have been better hosts and the food was amazing. Every meal was plated beautifully and tasted delicious! Deep Blue was updated and a very comfortable boat to spend a week sailing around paradise. Phil is a very knowledgeable captain and took us to really beautiful places around St. John. While Flo was a incredible dive instructor that showed us some great spots and was very patient with us as we were all fairly new divers. Really can't say enough about this couple and this boat! We are already trying to figure out dates for next years trip!

By far the best vacation we have had as a family. The entire trip was spectacular. The food & drinks were amazing and unbeatable. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the snorkeling, the watersports & the relaxation. Amazing vacation! Thanks for making great memories with us! I can't say enough about the trip of a lifetime. We met Phil and the day before our trip for 5 min and instantly knew we were going to have a great time.
The boat was perfect!! So clean and comfortable I wanted to move in. Flo's food ... I can't say enough great thing about it. Then Phil made his curry. WOW. Phil and Flo made us feel like family and welcome. Just great people and good friends to me and my boys.
I woke up every morning to the sun rise and Phil's cheery "Morning Morning Morning the pool is open" and I took advantage of it. I can't tell enough people about the trip and can't tell enough people about the trip and can't wait to do it again next year!! Might not leave next time.

Our crew was friendly and accommodating e felt like we were welcomed into there home. the vessel was clean and you worked hard to make us comfortable and addressed all our concerns effectively. The food was excellent, tailored to our request and very well presented. Flo even cooked u a proper English Christmas Dinner. The area we sailed at was beautiful. We would happily recommend Flo and Phil on the Deep Blue to anyone who is looking to enjoy a charter in the USVI. They are friendly, welcoming and extremely professional. They provided plenty to do and allow us free time when we wanted it . Over all it was exceptional vacation

The crew for Deep Blue 1 was a lot of fun. Captain Phil was quite the host and really funny. First mate Flo actually has a degree in marine science so she was able to answer all of my questions regarding what I was seeing while snorkeling. I would love to have scuba dived with her – it would have been really cool to dive with someone who is so knowledgeable.

Amazing vacation
This trip was the most amazing vacation I've taken. I've been 3 times with Devine sailing and you really cannot beat the pricing for the awesome experience. If you want to have an island getaway without all the people, this is it. Staying on the boat for a week is just what my soul needs each time to literally let it all go. I highly recommend Devine sailing, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, St. John, and St. Thomas, the amazing beaches, snorkeling, scuba diving, and the quaint little bars, shops, and restaurants you get to visit while aboard the Devine's boat. The trip really was Devine each time!

That was one of the coolest adventures I have ever been on - and most of it
was because of you.

Thank you again for having the confidence in me to take me to the "Rhone"
and the "Alice's Wonderland" sites.

I was not always completely comfortable but I knew you were there if I
needed help - I had complete faith and trust in you.

I have always loved the ocean but I had no idea what I was missing - I am
going to certify ASAP and make up for lost time. (But I think you might have
spoiled me with all that you showed me)

I loved the Rhone wreck - it was unbelievable - I have seen movies of stuff
like that, but it was nothing like seeing it in person - touching those
brass portholes, the propeller, swimming thru that hole - words can't
describe how cool that was - and that turtle at the end - how could it get
better than that

I felt very lucky to be on one of your top five dives at Alice's -

The color, the Sharks, the rocks and coral and plant life, the great fish,
lobzillas - I wouldn't have seen any of it without you pointing it out

If you guys ever head my way - you are more than welcome to visit/stay with
me

We had an unbelievable time aboard the Cuan. Everyone on board agreed that it was truly a trip of a lifetime, and one we will never forget. The crew was fantastic and overly accommodating. They ALL had great personalities and great sense of humors and were very easy to get along with. I believe our itinerary was a little different than they were used to, but, they had no problems in accommodating us and making sure we were entertained. As a matter of fact, as we sat down for dinner the night we got off the boat, we tried to come up with criticisms of the trip. The only one we could come up with was that we wished we had more snacks (chips, pretzels, etc.) between meals and hors d’oeurves. But, even that really isn’t a fair criticism, because all we really had to do was ask, and the crew was happy to provide. Thank you for the use of yours and Duncan’s boat. It was a trip we know we will never forget and something we hope we get to do again. Thanks again, and thanks for the e-mail.

Cuan Law Trip Review

I am not known for brevity, so this will be comprehensive. The short summary is: WOW, loved the Cuan Law and the BVI and you may add every superlative you can think of!

My husband had planned this trip to celebrate my 60th birthday, and invited 18 friends to join us. I was mildly alarmed when I learned of the plan (20 of us, on a boat, for a week??!!) and I must say that every facet of this trip FAR exceeded my expectations.

I am a pretty positive person, but people called me to express their concerns: would they be seasick, they don’t dive, or even generally like being near the water, would there be enough room for everyone, how would the food work with everyone’s different tastes, would there be enough to do, would there be too much sun, etc. etc.

And this is why I wanted to write a review. To reassure anyone considering spending time on the Cuan Law that you are in for a real treat.

The Crew – I know there is some fluidity with the staff (although our outgoing captain had been with the Cuan Law for 15 years, and several other crew members for 2 or more years) so I can’t guarantee who your crew will be. However, what we experienced is likely to reflect the “corporate” culture - which was a group of people who were competent, FUN, helpful, ACCOMMODATING, had great attitudes and were all around quite wonderful. There was a strong camaraderie among the staff and a genuine warmth that was palpable. There is no doubt that they contributed in a huge way to everyone’s excellent adventure.

The Boat – I don’t have much of a frame of reference to compare it to, but the space was extremely well designed and lent itself to a lot of interaction. There were no lack of places to be out of the strong Caribbean sun. The trimaran is a STABLE vessel, and we hugged the coast among the British Virgin Islands. We were not in the open ocean and everyone remarked at how well they slept (with the boat gently rocking in the water.) The boat was ship-shape clean and seemed quite up-to-date. Cabins were plenty large and beds were comfortable.

The Itinerary – We had a range of interests and water skills and all were happily addressed. The divers dove, those seeking certification were well taught, the snorkelers had plenty to see every day (including the Wreck of The Rhone!), those who wanted beach time had plenty of private, white sand beaches to enjoy and water sports were available too (water skiing, tubing, sailing the Hobie Cat, kayaking, etc.) I think we took advantage of everything that was offered. Most days included a hike and for those of us who went on those, we were richly rewarded with outstanding views. The captain re-arranged our plans (on his own) so that one couple who had to depart early were able to join us at The Baths on Virgin Gorda. SO APPRECIATIVE that he did that. And when our friends learned that they had to be home on Wednesday night, mid-trip, plans were made to get them to Beef Island, to catch a flight to Puerto Rico, then home. It was seamless.

The British Virgin Islands are not overrun with tourists and cruise ships. It is just really chill, gorgeous and in many places, simply magical. Each island, each part of the day, each opportunity and experience was awesome.

Food – Creative, home-made options were presented at every meal and every attempt was made to be sure that everyone had what they needed. Truly impressed with what was prepared each day (3 meals AND hors d’hoeuvres) for a full boat and the crew, in a galley kitchen. And not just thrown together – there was serious presentation involved! We received a Questionnaire prior to the trip to make sure that our dietary needs were addressed, and that our goals for the trip were met. Check and check.

There are not enough superlatives to describe how happy we ALL were with this unique experience. If you can fill the boat with folks you know (and really like!) all the better. If you are just signing up on your own, I think you will have an excellent time as well.
