Price Terms

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see

Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).

All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).

For a sailboat like CAP II, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price ($3,900 - $7,800), making the charter cost $29,900 to $33,800. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.

You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).

The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Crew

Crew of CAP II|Mate/US Captain/Stew Mate/US Captain/Stew

Captain: Keith Chipping

Captain Keith Chipping Keith walked away from a safe teaching career to chase wind and water, and he now drives CAP II like a man who knows every shift, every squall, and exactly how hard he can push without ever shaking his guests’ confidence. His calm, no-drama command means you feel the power of a race-bred yacht while everything around you runs smooth and controlled.
  • MCA/RYA Yachtmaster Offshore
  • Background as flotilla skipper in Greece and as delivery skipper France–Greece/Turkey
  • Completed a transatlantic crossing on a 36’ catamaran
  • Led CAP II through an extensive refit in Trinidad

Mate / US Captain / Stew Dina Hickman-Chipping Dina brings a hard-wired maker’s brain and world-travel instincts to the boat, fixing what needs fixing, plating food that looks like art, and reading guests so fast you barely have to ask for anything. She rides out chaos with a steady grin, turning long passages and tight schedules into easy, polished service.
  • USCG Captain 100grt
  • Grew up between Japan, the Philippines, Cayman Islands and the US
  • Former gemologist, goldsmith, appraiser and hot-air-balloon pilot
  • Sailed as Mate from Fort Lauderdale to Antigua on an 11m sailboat and later worked on a 31m motor yacht and race yachts

The chef position runs freelance, so the yacht matches you with a specialist whose menus lock onto the season, the region, and whatever your group actually wants to eat, not a one-size-fits-all list. Expect focused, restaurant-level plates tuned to your preferences and the pace of each sailing day.

Thank you all again for a wonderful week. Nancy and I enjoyed every minute of it. The sailing and swimming were wonderful, the island visits and drinks well worth our attention, the food magnificent, and your company, coordination, cooperation and general good graces exemplary. How's that for a performance review?!

Sail well and enjoy the sunny days.
