Purpose Yacht Description
Purpose is our very elegant Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 catamaran navigating the Caribbean waters. This very spacious luxury yacht captures, through its design, much of the natural light allowing it to flow through the salon, galley and cabins. The minute you step aboard, you will be amazed at the space allocated to relaxation and enjoyment. The open plan of the salon and cockpit area will give a definite feeling of conviviality when sharing special moments with friends or family. The sliding window next to the sink means meals can be passed directly from the galley to the cockpit, which is ideal as most of the dining aboard Purpose takes place al fresco.
Stepping up to the flybridge, you will get a panoramic, breezy, bird’s eye view of the seascape and with an open-air lounge area located next to the helm, you can also be wonderfully entertained by adventurous stories from your captain when under sail. When at anchor, the sunbathing lounge on the foredeck offers a great, shady, comfortable spot to spend relaxing moments.
Purpose is the Quintet version of the Saba 50 and offers three guest cabins in the port hull and two to starboard. The sixth cabin, a middle starboard cabin, is reserved for the crew. All cabins are en-suite.
A wide glass door separates the outside from the inside, but the two are on the same level so it’s easy to move from the exterior to the interior. Natural light floods through overhead hatches and large windows that you can see out of even when seated.
Presented by DMA Yachting, the astonishing charter yacht Purpose is a 50 ft sailing catamaran. The most attractive features of Purpose are her well-chosen interiors and alfresco dining areas. Purpose spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. She was constructed by recognized shipbuilder Fountaine Pajot in 2014. A succesful refit was completed in Upgrade 2022. The ingenious yacht layout features 5 cozy cabins and easily accommodates a maximum of 8 guests.
Purpose is classified primarily as a sailing catamaran. The the core layout is spread out from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is expansive, with a comfortable dining and seating area and that's where most of the meals are served. The fascinating cabins are connected by stairs to the main saloon - roomy, comfortable and pleasant. The cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. Multiple portholes add to the feeling of connection with the discovered environment.

Reviews
Our captain, Florian, was incredibly accommodating. He was so thorough on instructions around the boat and picked a really diverse itinerary. He also chose anchorages that were within a short swim to excellent snorkeling. He pointed out things to us as we went along and was engaging and a very cheerful fellow.
And Michael his crew and chef made wonderful meals, snacks and desserts and we never had to lift a finger.
All in all it was a dreamy vacation made all the more so by having a well appointed cat, and an excellent captain and chef/crew. We’d follow them around the world if we could.“
All the best
Judy and Mike
Floria guided us to many wonderful sights as well as some private and quiet spots. Purpose is a terrific yacht and easily accommodated us
Prince Michael treated us to one great meal after another such that we did not even want to leave our yacht to eat elsewhere
R. Dobel
We had chosen the Grenadines as it is less crowded than the BVI and some slightly longer sailing stretches
Purpose was more than adequate for the waters and Florian took us to many beautiful anchorages as well as some of his private locations. Florian is also obviously very confident with his craft as he demonstrated many times that he can handle the yacht by himself
Our meals were also absolutely terrific. Chef Mike did and amazing job creating unique meals and presentations that we did not expect out on such a cruise. Most of us did not want to
Leave the yacht to even experiment dining ashore.
Dobel Group
What a great way to truly unwind for a week! Florian and Camille were fantastic hosts and went out of their way to make our week onboard the Purpose fantastic. There were four of us in total – Mom, Dad and two kids – and Florian was able to create the perfect itinerary for us from Nassau down to Staniel Cay and back. We hit the popular spots, but Florian also had a few hidden gems that he had found exploring that really stood out to us. To top it all off, Camille did a wonderful job with every meal and really made them special with extra touches along the way. We all went home with big smiles and are, like others, talking about our next visit!
Taylor and Melissa Cole
Our trip was amazing, thanks to the crew. Florian was fantastic. Our group ranged in age from 8-84 and we all loved our trip and have started talking about the next one. Florian paid special attention to each of us and helped us enjoy our time on Purpose. Highly recommend.
