Classic Hinckley, updated. NORTHERN STAR is a 76ft Hinckley sailing yacht built in 1993 and refit in 2024, delivering that traditional teak-and-mahogany look without the “we haven’t touched a thing since the 90s” reality.
Sleeps six, sensibly. Accommodation is for up to 6 guests, with a forward primary cabin with a queen berth and en-suite, a VIP with twin beds and en-suite, plus additional single berths for flexible family or mixed-group layouts. Not a floating hotel. A proper sailing yacht.
Easy days on deck. Air conditioning keeps the interior comfortable, while the bimini and an outdoor shower make the swim-to-sundeck loop simple. There’s also Wi‑Fi, a TV, and an indoor audio system for downtime that does not require a group vote.
Water time included. Get off the boat quickly with an 11ft/3.5m Zodiac tender (20hp), then rotate through paddleboards, snorkelling equipment, towable toys, and an inflatable water toy. Light fishing gear is onboard for anyone who likes their “relaxing” with a rod in hand.
Accommodation
NORTHERN STAR accommodates 6 guests, 4 adults and 2 children, in 3 cabins. The interior is fully air-conditioned and headroom is 6’ 8” throughoutThe spacious Master Suite is forward with a queen v-berth, hanging locker and private head with a separate stall shower. There is also a comfortable seat and a writing desk on the starboard side.
A center hallway runs aft to the salon. Aft and to port of the master stateroom is an elegant VIP Suite that was originally planned for the King and Queen of Norway who frequented the yacht. This cabin is an intimate oasis featuring his and her twins, ample storage and a private head with hand-shower.
Also aft of the master on the port side is a common head with shower (shared by crew). On the starboard side are two well-appointed guest cabins (one of which are used by the crew), each with over and under single berths, a bureau and hanging locker. These two cabins share the common head and hand-shower.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailboat like NORTHERN STAR, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price ($7,800 - $15,600), making the charter cost $59,800 to $67,600. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.
