Captain: Adam Buyskes

Captain Adam, originally from South Africa, has been living in the beautiful British Virgin Islands for 15 years and is well versed in all the hot spots and the more private locations on the islands. Along with his 200t Captain’s license, Captain Adam is a certified salvage and commercial diver. He has island connections that can get any diver on board set up with a personal dive excursion. Captain Adam has 25 years of power and sailboat experience and can treat guests to fun sailing adventures as well as water sports using the 40-horsepower dinghy. When Captain Adam is not on board, he is spending every free moment with his beautiful baby girl, Izzy.

Chef/Mate Kate is from the BIG state of Texas. Her excellent culinary skills have a truly southern flare with Tex-Mex influences and hints of Cajun cuisine. Kate can add the SPICE to your life or keep things toned to a more delicate pallet, and everything in between! She is able to tailor a meal plan to safety your dietary needs - so don't be afraid to ask! Kate has a fresh energy and smile that makes every guest feel welcome in her kitchen and especially excited at her table.

INTERIM MERRY-TIME CREW

Merry-Time is named after Chef Mary as everyone coming on board is bound to have a “merry” time with Mary around. Mary specializes in making each day worth celebrating, but especially if you have a special event! Mary prefers family-style cooking with everyone passing around plates of delicious food at a table filled with family, friends, and laughter. Mary pays keen attention to dietary requests and restrictions while ensuring each meal is prepared with the most wholesome and flavorful ingredients available in the islands. Good food is worth celebrating and Mary ensures that happens daily on Merry-Time!

Captain Malcom is not only an experienced captain, he is also a “Belonger” in the British Virgin Islands. Captain Malcolm knows the islands as they are his HOME. Captain Malcolm knows the best locations to go to give Merry-Time guests the experiences they are seeking. He is aware of local weather patterns and makes changes to the itinerary as needed for the safety and the comfort of guests. Captain Malcolm has numerous contacts on island to schedule excursions, restaurant reservations, and private tours. His skill as a captain enables him to anchor in the most coveted locations while maintaining the safety of everyone on board.

Honestly, I can’t say enough about how wonderful this trip was. It was the most expensive trip we have done yet and I don’t regret any of the dollars spent. Dwayne and Olga were absolutely terrific, couldn’t have asked for a better crew. Dwayne took the time with us at the start of the trip to work through the itinerary and made great suggestions. Olga met our every expectation with the food and accommodated all of our needs from GF to Vegetarian sitting alongside bacon lovers😁. They really made the trip extra special. The boat was well appointed and fit our two families perfectly. The attention to detail across the board was outstanding.

I would (and already have) highly recommend the crew, boat and our broker. You guys simplified the planning and coordination and provided all the crazy Covid needs to us as everything was changing. Thank you so much for helping to make this delayed 50th celebration a huge 55th success!

Captain Dwayne and Chef Olga were truly amazing and so fun to experience the BVI with. Thank you for your help in getting through all of the planning and protocols that were in place. It was nice that the COVID protocols back into the US were dropped during our trip, I figured that was just another trick Captain Dwayne had for us! Dwayne and Olga really did so much to give our family the trip of a lifetime. Captain Dwayne and Chef Olga were great!! Dwayne made sure he understood what we wanted to experience and went well beyond our expectations to show us as much of the BVI as possible. Olga always had a snack ready for us and the meals on board were not only delicious, but presented beautifully. Merry Time was a wonderful experience. It was our first time on this type of trip, but we have no complaints with the layout of the vessel or the amenities on board. Dwayne and Olga kept all areas extremely clean and comfortable, both when moving and when moored. Our family spent a lot of time on the fly bridge enjoying the breezes and scenery.

Fishing, snorkeling, and water sports are just a few of the many exciting activities that drew him to the sea. <br /> <br /> He started as a voluntary maintenance dockhand at a local ASA school in St. Vincent, and then humbly pursued his yachting career step by step. He gained most of his experience through deliveries of various yachts throughout the Caribbean, with a few transatlantic crossings to the Mediterranean. That led to cruising in some of the most exclusive places in the Mediterranean, including the south of France, Spain, Italy, Sardinia, Corsica and the Adriatic waters of Montenegro and Croatia. <br /> <br /> Dwayne's passion for the sea, sailing and yachts goes very deep and is a large part of who he his. He enjoys sharing this passion with charter guests and those with similar interests. Fishing is one of his most exciting hobbies onboard. Early morning sunrise and sunset trawling have a therapeutic effect on his soul! There is nothing better than enjoying a fresh catch.<br /> <br /> When not sailing, he enjoys the outdoors as much as possible indulging in breathtaking hikes, bird watching, cycling and farming. Farming has always been the backbone of his family, so the planting and harvesting of fresh fruits and food crops can also be considered another huge part of his life.<br /> <br /> <br /> Olga grew in Odessa, a beautiful Ukrainian city near the Black Sea. From the beginning, it was Olga's dream to travel the world. She loves the opportunity to work with people and started as a crew agent, but the sea, traveling and boat life remained her passion.<br /> <br /> This dream became a reality when she landed her first job onboard a motor yacht as a Stewardess, cruising the Mediterranean and Caribbean sea. Thank you for your help in getting through all of the planning and protocols that were in place. It was nice that the COVID protocols back into the US were dropped during our trip, I figured that was just another trick Captain Dwayne had for us! Dwayne and Olga really did so much to give our family the trip of a lifetime. Captain Dwayne and Chef Olga were great!! Dwayne made sure he understood what we wanted to experience and went well beyond our expectations to show us as much of the BVI as possible. Olga always had a snack ready for us and the meals on board were not only delicious, but presented beautifully. Merry Time was a wonderful experience. It was our first time on this type of trip, but we have no complaints with the layout of the vessel or the amenities on board. Dwayne and Olga kept all areas extremely clean and comfortable, both when moving and when moored.
