Offered by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht CruiseNautic is a 42 ft sailing catamaran. CruiseNautic spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. She was completed by recognized shipbuilder Lagoon in 2019. The spacious yacht layout features 3 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 6 guests.

CruiseNautic is introduced primarily as a sailing catamaran. The yacht layout radiates from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is expansive, with a comfortable dining and seating area and usually it where you, as a charter guest, spend most of your time. The sailboat features 2 x 57HP Yanmar engines and a generator.

Cyrus Dietz (Captain/Chef/Divemaster), Kate Giebink (Captain/Chef/PADI Instructor) and Cocoa Salty Paws (Furry Fun Manager)

USCG Captain, PADI/SSI Divemaster and master of baked goodies as well as a mighty fine cocktail, Cyrus started his love for sailing and deep-sea fishing with his father off the coasts of Cape May, New Jersey. That launched a love of all things outdoors – and he has the merit badges to prove it. His keen eye for planning has won him many spectacular experiences. A background in engineering adds to his ability to fit the tool to any job, always prepared with just the right gear for the next adventure.

USCG Captain, PADI Instructor and master of crafting a fresh fusion of flavors, Kate started sailing at the ripe age of 4 and she’s been on the wind ever since. Her first visit to the Caribbean was with her father, Dr. Scott Giebink, spending months at a hospital in Haiti helping children. The immersion in the warm culture led to her passion for crafting many more global treks and inspired her love for experimenting with global cuisine. Kate draws from a background in music, design and cuisine to fine tune the ambiance that completes each moment aboard CruiseNautic. And what goes better with the stars then the soft strum of guitar in a live moonlit serenade.

Cyrus & Kate’s love for adventure has led them in many years of whitewater rafting, canyoneering, 4-wheeling, sailing and more. Together, they completed the Bob Marshall Wilderness Open, covering 100 miles of Grizzly-bear-infested Montana forests on foot and packraft. Not only did they survive, they stayed together to take the adventure on to a new frontier. They embarked on an Atlantic crossing with their brand-new Lagoon 42, exploring France, Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands then landing in their new home seas of the Eastern Caribbean Islands. From the US and British Virgin Islands all the way South to Grenada and The Grenadines, their “backyard view” is in constant rotation as they explore all the magic these islands offer. This is where you come in. We’d love to have you aboard and share all the hidden treasures of the Caribbean as we sail out of the ordinary.

Our third mate, Cocoa Salty Paws. Let’s just say it was crew at first sight. Hailing from Grenada, Cocoa is a Grenadian Pothound who has been raised on catamarans since she was 5 days old. She hangs outside, in the salon and the crew stateroom. She never enters the guest staterooms or the port side hull. Cocoa is the perfect addition to our crew. She is entertaining, loyal and always has a full body wag ready to greet you.

We are proud to offer a gourmet dining experience, custom-catered to your palate. Kate has had the pleasure of working at a variety of fine establishments, witnessing firsthand how diverse world influences can affect every bite. Cyrus is a master of cocktails and grill, with carefully crafted attention to every detail.

Our menu is focused on a delicious melding of global flavors, injecting the fare of each island. We keep it spontaneous enough to incorporate that day’s catch or freshly gathered conch. You won’t want to miss out on those.

They embarked on an Atlantic crossing with their brand-new Lagoon 42, exploring France, Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands then landing in their new home seas of the Eastern Caribbean Islands. From the US and British Virgin Islands all the way South to Grenada and The Grenadines, their “backyard view” is in constant rotation as they explore all the magic these islands offer. On our travel day to St. Thomas, of course, our flight from Chicago was delayed setting up this trip to start off on a rocky start but Cyrus and Kate were pleasant, completely flexible, and stayed connected making sure we made it safely – all was good…just that our vacation started about 6 hours later than planned!<br /> <br /> Arriving at the marina, I instantly knew the experience was first rate across the board. Cyrus greeted us, safely got us to the incredible vessel, and introduced us to our home for the next 8 days. The welcome drinks from Kate were a nice touch and, of course, every lick from Cocoa washed away my daily grind stress.<br /> <br /> The vessel, its accommodations, and amenities were nothing but top-notch. I am not going to highlight all of them but what you see on the website is exactly what you get from beautiful and clean staterooms to extraordinary watersports equipment – check out their website for details - www.cruisenautic.com. The food…the drink…amazing, fresh, and easily exceeded our expectations – we never went to bed hungry and many times went to bed feeling quite good – great margaritas!<br /> <br /> By the way, can I mention that we had the best sleep in years on this trip? Was it the gentle rocking of the boat, the fresh air, the comfy bed, or all of the above? Go on this trip and tell me what you think!<br /> <br /> Each day was an adventure decided by us from sailing (Cyrus and Kate know the area like the back of their hand and like the pirates earlier eras, they had a treasure-trove of information about the islands, its culture, its traditions and customs, and its history), experiencing local culture such as visiting St. John and Virgin Islands National Park, sampling local cuisine with a visit to Foxy’s Taboo, daily snorkeling trips exploring caves/reefs and swimming with the beautiful fish and turtles, checking out the beaches, paddleboarding and floating with your friends (and Cocoa), enjoying movie night on the water (Cyrus and Kate have a large screen and projector for movies), and seeing boats and people from all over the world. It sounds like a lot of stuff and that it was exhausting but over 8 days and a crew that knows their stuff it was not – it was exactly the opposite for me…relaxing, stress-free, and just enjoyable. As the heart and soul of CruiseNautic, Cyrus, Kate, and Cocoa are incredible at making the adventure YOUR adventure.<br /> <br /> It started even before getting to the boat as Kate reached out to discuss food, drink, and activity preferences, provided cruise tips, and even gave us step-by-step directions to the marina. On our travel day to St. Thomas, of course, our flight from Chicago was delayed setting up this trip to start off on a rocky start but Cyrus and Kate were pleasant, completely flexible, and stayed connected making sure we made it safely – all was good…just that our vacation started about 6 hours later than planned!<br /> <br /> Arriving at the marina, I instantly knew the experience was first rate across the board. Cyrus greeted us, safely got us to the incredible vessel, and introduced us to our home for the next 8 days. The welcome drinks from Kate were a nice touch and, of course, every lick from Cocoa washed away my daily grind stress.<br /> <br /> The vessel, its accommodations, and amenities were nothing but top-notch. I am not going to highlight all of them but what you see on the website is exactly what you get from beautiful and clean staterooms to extraordinary watersports equipment – check out their website for details - www.cruisenautic.com. The food…the drink…amazing, fresh, and easily exceeded our expectations – we never went to bed hungry and many times went to bed feeling quite good – great margaritas!<br /> <br /> By the way, can I mention that we had the best sleep in years on this trip? Was it the gentle rocking of the boat, the fresh air, the comfy bed, or all of the above? Go on this trip and tell me what you think!<br /> <br /> Each day was an adventure decided by us from sailing (Cyrus and Kate know the area like the back of their hand and like the pirates earlier eras, they had a treasure-trove of information about the islands, its culture, its traditions and customs, and its history), experiencing local culture such as visiting St. John and Virgin Islands National Park, sampling local cuisine with a visit to Foxy’s Taboo, daily snorkeling trips exploring caves/reefs and swimming with the beautiful fish and turtles, checking out the beaches, paddleboarding and floating with your friends (and Cocoa), enjoying movie night on the water (Cyrus and Kate have a large screen and projector for movies), and seeing boats and people from all over the world. It sounds like a lot of stuff and that it was exhausting but over 8 days and a crew that knows their stuff it was not – it was exactly the opposite for me…relaxing, stress-free, and just enjoyable. A background in engineering adds to his ability to fit the tool to any job, always prepared with just the right gear for the next adventure.<br /> <br /> USCG Captain, PADI Instructor and master of crafting a fresh fusion of flavors, Kate started sailing at the ripe age of 4 and she’s been on the wind ever since. Her first visit to the Caribbean was with her father, Dr. Scott Giebink, spending months at a hospital in Haiti helping children. The immersion in the warm culture led to her passion for crafting many more global treks and inspired her love for experimenting with global cuisine. Kate draws from a background in music, design and cuisine to fine tune the ambiance that completes each moment aboard CruiseNautic. And what goes better with the stars then the soft strum of guitar in a live moonlit serenade.<br /> <br /> Cyrus & Kate’s love for adventure has led them in many years of whitewater rafting, canyoneering, 4-wheeling, sailing and more. Together, they completed the Bob Marshall Wilderness Open, covering 100 miles of Grizzly-bear-infested Montana forests on foot and packraft. Not only did they survive, they stayed together to take the adventure on to a new frontier. They embarked on an Atlantic crossing with their brand-new Lagoon 42, exploring France, Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands then landing in their new home seas of the Eastern Caribbean Islands. From the US and British Virgin Islands all the way South to Grenada and The Grenadines, their “backyard view” is in constant rotation as they explore all the magic these islands offer. This is where you come in. We’d love to have you aboard and share all the hidden treasures of the Caribbean as we sail out of the ordinary.<br /> <br /> Our third mate, Cocoa Salty Paws.
