AZULIA II is introduced primarily as a sailing catamaran. The central space of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck features a variety of seating areas and that's where the guests spend most of their time. The tastefully decorated cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. Team Bio:
Growing up on the east coast sailing and the ocean were a large part of Rich’s childhood. After
an offshore sailing trip to the Caribbean at age 18, he was convinced that a life at sea was
where he belonged. After meeting Ekaterina a few years later, they purchased their own
sailboat and cruised the east coast, Bahamas, and Caribbean. In between cruising on their own
boat they slowly began picking up jobs on yachts to fund their travels. This led to a full time
position as a captain and chef couple in charter catamarans in the Caribbean. Rich has a great
eye for detail and is very passionate about yacht maintenance, sailing, and entertaining guests.
Kate is an excellent mate helping in all aspects of sailing, all while delivering fantastic meals
from the galley. She is very passionate about using local quality ingredients in her meals,
fitness, and daily Pilates.

Captain Rich hails from a small coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. Growing up on the ocean,
he has spent his entire life on the water. He was introduced to sailing after high school, when
he crewed on a boat headed for the Virgin Islands. Immediately he was hooked and spent the
next two years sailing and surfing the Caribbean. After meeting Kate, the two of them
purchased and rebuilt their own boat to cruise the islands. A few years later he decided to
pursue sailing professionally. After obtaining his 50 ton masters license with the UCSG, Rich
and Kate have worked on boats along the East coast, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. With
years of experience sailing together and an extensive knowledge of Virgin Islands waters, you
will be in great hands.
Rich’s main passion in life is being in the ocean and enjoying the outdoors. As an active
member of the Surfrider foundation, he is always looking for ways to live a more sustainable life.
He looks forward to sharing his passion for water sports with guests, whether it’s tracking down
waves along Tortola’s north shore, stand up paddle boarding, or wakeboarding.
His favorite part of the day is entertaining guests with craft cocktails and tales of the days
adventures while the boat effortlessly sails off into the sunset.

Growing up in a landlocked city in Russia, the idea of sailing the ocean had never crossed
Kate’s mind. It wasn’t until a summer exchange program brought her to the Atlantic coast where
she met Rich. Now married for 9 years and after many sailing trips on their own boat, she
couldn’t imagine life any other way.
With a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from San Diego State University, her fresh culinary style
reflects throughout a healthy fare. She channels all her incredible energy and brilliant ability to
think outside the box into creating delicious masterpieces for guests to enjoy.
Having had the opportunity to travel the world, including Egypt, Thailand, Greece, and Italy, she
has had the chance to sample many of the world's cuisines. She takes great delight in sharing
these flavors with you. Mediterranean and Asian inspired dishes enriched by quality produce
and locally sourced fresh ingredients is the mainstay of her cooking. Vegetarians and vegans
are very welcome with Chef Kate!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation for us and our kids. The boat was immaculate and perfect layout for us. We were able to sail to St. Croix the latter part of our trip and had perfect weather for our voyage. We rented jeeps on St. Croix and had a great time exploring the island. We went on shore hiking a couple of days, but the highlight was the bioluminescence we experienced while snorkeling at night. Captain Dan and Chef Jessi were great and extremely responsive to our preferences. Very laid back vacation and just what we needed.

Just wanted to thank you guys again for a fantastic week ! We have all been a little stressed with everything
going on and needed some relaxation. You provided exactly what we needed, a "No Worries Vacation !!"
We felt at ease with you after our initial phone call and that continued after we meet the first day. All we had to do
was relax and enjoy the moment and you took care of EVERYTHING else !!
The boat was great. Clean, comfortable, all the amenities, anything we could ask for was on board. This shows
how much work and planning you put in to maintain it all and make the week go so smoothly for us.
We realize it is a tremendous effort on your part to provide that experience for
your guests and we truly appreciate it !
As for the meals, WOW, is all I can say. Each meal was simply amazing! The variety, the flavor, the presentation, the taste
was 5-star! The meals on shore were good but no comparison to what you served onboard! Special thanks for accommodating our
dietary concerns. It was so nice for everyone (including Pam) to be able to enjoy such great meals together!
I hope our group is able to sail again someday. When that happens, we will see if you are available!

What an amazing vacation!!! Dan and Sarah exceeded our expectations. Dan is a great captain, awesome storyteller, fund teacher and had great ideas on where to take our group of 8. Sarah made each meal with love! Everything she made was absolutely delicious! Sarah has the best attitude, smile, and knowledge of the boat and snorkeling. Even though I could do nothing in the water because of my operation on my broker wrist, I had the BEST time!!! Seeing the joy and fun my family was having was the best medicine for me. I don't know who in the bunch was the biggest instigator, the Captain, or the 5 adult kids, but a great time was had by all!! So welcome to the family, you have officially been adopted! It started with the bedroom challenges, horse race, original cocktail and rock/paper/scissors - best of 3 to get the queen cabin! That started the fun right off the bat! What an excellent vacation! We had such a blast sailing, wake boarding and snorkeling in the bluest water we have ever seen. Not only were the water sports unbelievable, but meeting y'all (Sister Sarah and Captain Dan) was unforgettable. While helping out on the boat and learning about sailing and where every body on board live, we got to witness y'all relaxed and open to sharing the experiences. Memorable moments on charter were Dan's wakeboarding skills and making sushi with chef Sarah in the kitchen. We have proved that this easy going crew helped make this one of the most enjoyable vacations for passengers and crew alike. It wasn't just during "fish bowl" that we learned/shared values, respect, and continued learning about each others unique life experiences. Best of luck on your continued adventures. This trip has surpassed our expectations. The immaculate sceneries at every spot we were, it was almost as if it were a dream. Every single dish we ate was made from love and not just delicious, but a complete culinary experience. We can't thank you enough for everything you have done this week. You both work well as a perfect team, always courteous, warm and paying close attention to our needs. You're attention to detail as made this experience fantastic. Getting to know you both has such a warm and welcoming energy that just makes this adventure and amazing unforgettable experience. You both open your hearts and souls until this job and we were absolutely excited to see you be the extraordinary people you are. We loved listening to Dan's music and singing plus listening to his great knowledge of the USVI islands as well as the intriguing ruins of the sugar mills in Reef Bay, St John. Thank you Sarah for teaching us paddle boarding and taking us snorkeling, new to try, and also pointing out the beautiful fish while snorkeling. We had a MAGICAL week at Azulia II. Dan is extremely accommodating and also a great Captain. He plays the guitar and sings very well. He took us to St. Croix and the snorkeling was awesome! Sarah spoiled us so much!! Starting with the cake and decorations for my birthday which was on our arrival day... as well as the nice presentation of the dining table every single evening. The flavor of her food was amazing. She is a great CHEF!! If we can give them 10 stars we will. They are spectacular!! We miss them!!

My family and I had the very good fortune of having Danielle (Dani) Andrews as our chef on our Christmas charter to the BVI. She is an amazing chef, concocting beautifully presented, diverse, healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner day after day. She is also very comfortable with dietary restrictions and able to adapt meals for everyone of them. But she’s not just a great chef, whose meals were comparable to those of any boutique luxury cruise line we’ve been on, she is also unbelievably calm, competent and composed even under the most adverse of circumstances, which unfortunately we were subjected to repeatedly through no fault of the crew. Finally, I would say that Dani is a warm, smart and generally lovely person who any charter company would be lucky to have on their staff.

The chef/mate on our trip was Dani Andrews. The six of us were routinely amazed by the variety and quality of her food preparation. By our own choice, we ate all meal with the exception of one dinner and never were disappointed. To the contrary, all we could do was enjoy and ask for more which was readily provided.

Captain Jacob and chef Dani offered us the trip of a lifetime. For our family of six ranging in age from 13-76. Snorkeling, sailing, diving, tubing, using the screecher for the first time, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, beach exploring make the trip great for everyone. The boat is tastefully and thoughtfully arranged as well as maintained beautifully. It was more than comfortable for all of us to stay for a week. Dani’s meals hit the spot and had the perfect proportions, worthy of a Michelin Star! We look forward to our next adventure!

Amazing honeymoon
Captain Dan was amazing for our honeymoon. He had complete command of the 48" cat
but more importantly made us feel very comfortable. His signature cocktail "walk in the
woods" is off the chain. Captain Dan also took us to a secluded beach and officiated us
exchanging our vows complete with him singing a special song for us. He knew the BVI's
extremely well and always had perfect recommendations for dinner or drinks on shore.
We highly endorse captain Dan. -Tim and Jenny M.

Dan was our captain for a week long cruise in BVI on a Moorings boat and he did a
fantastic job for us. There were a lot of us and he far exceeded our expectations. Dan

Dan and Hazal looked after us superbly during our week sailing in Bermuda for the

Coconut Fish
Chef Hazi is the best young Chef in Maui by far! We were a family of 8 and we have
Vegan, Gluten free, Pescatarian and a dairy free members in our family. Chef Hazi
prepared us a customized dinner menu and she did such a good job making everybody
happy in our family about the food that she prepared for us. PS, I would definitely

How did you enjoy your cruising vacation?
We absolutely loved every minute of it. The 30-somethings on board (our kids and friends) kept saying each day “this is the best day of my life”. We had lots of laughter and relaxation on the cruise.
How would you describe your Captain and crew? Were they Courteous? Helpful? Friendly? Attentive? Knowledgeable?
Captains Pam and Graham were wonderful. They were experienced, attentive, courteous, very helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the boat and the entire cruising area. They are very service oriented and seem to really love what they do. We had asked for Clayton to have the opportunity to take the helm at least once. Captain Graham was generous allowing Clayton to take the helm when we were under sail not just once but several times. He was there with Clayton at the helm to be hands-on from a safety point- of-view - but Clayton was steering the boat.
Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your Chef and Crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets?
Chef Pamela exceeded our expectations and fed us very well. She was careful to observe the one food issue we advised her of on our preference sheets (no nuts or seeds for one of our group) and provided us with all the beverage selection we asked for. She was very creative with her menus with a different series of breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. She also made sure she gave us foods we listed as personal favorites — like blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup and homemade chocolate chip cookies — and lots of ice cream!! The food on shore was good but didn’t hold a candle to her cuisine. She even gave us a sushi dinner one night all made fresh - which we loved.
How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable? Was the cockpit comfortable? Was there enough shade?
The Azulia II is beautifully maintained. We delighted in the spaciousness and the layout of the Lagoon 56 catamaran. All the staterooms were comfortable and well appointed. We loved having private showers and electric flush heads for each stateroom. We particularly appreciated the air conditioning for sleeping - but didn’t need it for the daytime when we were mostly either above deck or in the water. The layout of the boat was perfect for cruising and we made use of every space - forward and aft. There was always a breeze running so we were never hot - except when on shore, which we expected.
What did you like most about the yacht? What did you like the least? If you could change anything, what would have made you happier?
We liked everything. There was nothing we didn’t like. We wouldn’t change a thing. We would do it all over again.
How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?
The captains had laid out an itinerary which we followed pretty much to the letter which is what we had asked for. We enjoyed every place they took us and each new mooring spot had its own special identity. When a couple of us asked for one day to just be at a mooring most of the day swimming and snorkeling the captains were extremely flexible and accommodated us perfectly. They also knew we had some hikers in our group so they had researched several short hikes for us on land.
Would you charter this yacht again? If not, please explain:

Pam & Graham went above and beyond. They made sure we were well fed, comfortable, made fabulous drinks, and were very attentive to all of us! We enjoyed having them join us for fun evenings on the boat and for dinner one evening on shore and the Pirate Happy Hour another night. They were so good about getting us in & out of the dingy (which wasn’t always an easy task)! Seal Team 6!
Pam’s food was 5 star! We had to ask her to cut back on lunch because we were being so well fed! We were not disappointed in food, wine & drinks at all. They did pay close attention to our preferences and had all of our favorite types of drinks too!
Boat was spotless & in excellent condition. Our beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of different spaces on the boat to hang out. The fly bridge was a favorite card playing spot for the guys, our entertainment area in the evenings & great spot to all relax and hang out while we sailed. It was a great shady spot and we could go out front when we wanted sun. So many areas to hang out. It was fun to watch Graham/Pam sail to our next destination with their commentary of where we were and what we were seeing as we cruised along.
There was something new and fun each day and down time in between to relax.
What we liked the least was leaving!!
The experience was even better than we hoped for. It was a trip of a lifetime and we would love to go with Graham & Pam on the Azulia again!

Yes. Everything we hoped and more. Spacious and clean. The flying bridge was a great place for apps and reading and sleeping.
3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes. The A/C was great and was turned on typically in the evenings and overnight.
4. Was the food good and well presented?
Yes. Everything was delicious and done to perfection, presentation was photo worthy (and we did take pics). Just the right amount of food. Beverages were abundant. If we ran out of something or didn't have it, it would magically appear.
5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Yes. Graham and Pam selected the itinerary based on our preferences and then modified it slightly to accommodate for weather/swells to ensure we had the best time possible
8. Additional comments on your charter? Everything was perfect I tell everyone what a great time we had and that this was the best..vacation... EVER - I would and do recommend this vacation and crew to everyone.
Pam and Graham were the perfect crew. They gave us the perfect amount of time for ourselves and the correct time to mingle with us. They were extremely caring. We made memories that will last for a life time. We can not express our thanks and our appreciation enough. When I first read the reviews as I was selecting a yacht and crew I had difficulty believing the glowing remarks, but now I am a believer.

AZULIA II
The Strait Family Charter
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation for us and our kids. The boat was immaculate and perfect layout for us. We were able to sail to St. Croix the latter part of our trip and had perfect weather for our voyage. We rented jeeps on St. Croix and had a great time exploring the island. We went on shore hiking a couple of days, but the highlight was the bioluminescence we experienced while snorkeling at night. Dan and Jessi were great and extremely responsive to our preferences. Very laid back vacation and just what we needed.
