Dear Ben and Rachel (AKA BEST CREW EVER), This has been the most amazing trip we could ever imagine! The undivided quality time with family is something we rarely get and it has been a blessing – because of the two f you! Despite our crazy travel stories, we were welcomed aboard with open arms & ya’ll made it so easy to feel like home. Rachel, thank you for the delicious meals, adventurous (barefoot) hiking, showing us how to find the largest lobster in the world while snorkeling, and serving all of our needs and desires. Ben, thank you for being the best captain ever; getting us to the most beautiful places safe and sound, taking us to the coolest destinations, and doing the behind the scenes work on the boat. Ya’ll are two special people and you make such an amazing team. Many people don’t get the chance to ever do something like this and we are honored we got to charter on Copper Penny with you! What an amazing week! We so enjoyed our time with all three of you! You never know what great adventures lie ahead or who you’re going to meet. We are so very grateful for the loving kindness that the two of you (and yes, even Bosun) share in your world. Thank you, Ben for all the attention to details when it came to planning each day. Rachel, your meals were fabulously flavorful and flexible. Thank you for truly listening to us. There are no “accidents” in life and your sharing of your yoga practice seems to have been just what the Universe’s message was supposed to be! The BVI and the Copper Penny are very special destinations – the water, the sailing, the light and sand all create a relaxing vacation week. (Really, we have never taken so many naps!) However, it’s the sharing times and attention from you that allowed us to feel safe and sound. Ben, Rachel & Bosun, I feel very lucky that I got to celebrate my 40th birthday early on the Copper Penny! Everything was perfectly executed! You are so skilled at what you do, it is seamless. You make it look easy, but I know hosting guests for a week is anything but. We loved sharing your boat home & your furmate! We were so lucky with weather, but am aware that took planning too. We had repeat adventures and new experiences. I appreciate your willingness to accept and love my tribe. Your ability to take care of them makes me happy. From the moment I met you guys I knew that I was going to feel right at home. I didn’t know what to expect coming into this trip, but my expectations were more than exceeded. I couldn’t have asked for a better captain and chef to guide my adventure in the BVI! In my eyes, you were more than just that, now it feels like I have a little piece of my family in such a beautiful place. This trip began as an idea for Mom/Grandma’s 70th birthday milestone. Three generations were here in the BVI and everyone took something special and personal away from the experience. Ben & Rachel, we loved seeing the islands through your eyes. The relationships you forged with people here is remarkable. Nobody from our crew had any reservations and we all were excited for the adventures you prepared. The food, the drink and the laughs were part of the absolute enjoyment that we will all remember for life. There are always apprehensions to booking and committing to a vacation and even more when its more personal like a chartered excursion on a catamaran.
