Rompecabeza is characterized by a single-area cockpit/salon accessed by a huge glass door which is entirely retractable. the yacht can go from “cozy” to “loft” mode in a flash at the touch of a button for your panoramic views and fresh air.The huge “garage door” swings up to the roof of the cabin which gives you a huge open space for entertaining. There is nothing like it! All that space!

If the weather turns, or you feel like some privacy, we can swing the big door down and you have a fully enclosed saloon. Very neat!

The foredeck is solid without trampolines which provides more lounging space in the forward cockpit area.

The forward part of the salon is all windows: the big central window opens right up so that the crew may pass beverages out to anyone lounging in the forward cockpit area.

It´s a short few steps up either side from the aft cockpit area, to the flybridg to enjoy the sun lounge

The accommodations are spacious and light - certainly at the top of her class when it comes to space down below

Advertised by DMA Yachting, the breathtaking charter yacht ROMPECABEZA is a 43 ft sailing catamaran. ROMPECABEZA spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. She was constructed by the ship builder Bali Catamarans in 2018. The well-planned yacht layout features 2 generous cabins and easily accommodates up to 4 guests.

ROMPECABEZA is classified primarily as a sailing catamaran. The yacht layout radiates from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck features a variety of seating areas and that's where the guests spend most of their time. MEET THE CREW

Don was born in a small town in Northern Indiana, with over 100 lakes in his county, it’s no wonder he owned his first boat at age 19. Since that day there has been very little time in his life that didn’t involve a boat. A move to downtown Chicago nearly a decade ago sparked his interest in sailing and the Lake Michigan boating scene. A frequent visitor to the USVI for sailing vacations, Don and his wife Staci found themselves in love with the islands and always envisioned a day when they would call this place “home”. Don is a USCG Master Licensed Captain and is always eager to share his love of sailing with his onboard guests.

Staci’s love of boating started nearly 20 years ago when she and Captain Don got married. A steady first mate on all of their vessels over the years, Staci is a more than capable member of the team and is prepared to make your stay with us a memorable and enjoyable one. Staci’s infectious upbeat personality and boundless positive attitude are sure to brighten the day of those around her. As an American Sailing Association certified sailor, Staci is also ready to hoist a sail and trim a sheet.

An eclectic selection is always on the menu! From the meat and potatoes of a Midwest upbringing to Ceviche and Paella experiences from many vacations in Central and South America, you’ll always be pleased with the variety of the day. Caribbean and Asian inspired dishes will be featured heavily as well, locally sourced seafood makes for excellent fresh Sushi!

Amazing Trip.

This was an amazing trip of a lifetime. Don and Staci were incredible hosts, catering to our every need. Not only were we provided 3 full meals a day, we also had snacks, desserts, and appetizers daily. Staci designed all the foods around our likes, dislikes, and allergies. Can't say enough about her culinary skills, kindness and conversations. Captain Don was a master of the boat. He is incredibly knowledgeable regarding the islands, the history, the secret spots to visit, when to arrive to get the best mooring buoy, the restaurants, bars, land adventures and local contacts that made this trip a great memory. He masterfully provided my 7 year-old grandson memories for a lifetime. Thank-you Captain Don and First Mate Staci for an incredible experience. We'll see you again in April for our next adventure!!

I Don't Know Where To Begin

I don’t even know where to begin! Just returned from a 5 night charter with Captain Don and Staci. We traveled as a couple with our 6 year old and my father. Everything was absolutely perfect! The food, the laughs, the amazing sights and snorkeling and mostly the crew who now feel like family. They went out of their way to find the few specialty items that we asked for(sorry again Staci for having to search the island for Sugar Free Red Bull ). I was hesitant about bringing a child so young on a charter, but they treated him like their own! Captain Don taught him how to sail the boat, found the best snorkel sights and Staci made his favorite breakfast every morning and saved food scraps for our nightly fish(and bat) feedings. Truly the best vacation ever and we can’t wait to come back!

Don and Staci Are Terrific

Staci and Don operate the Rombacabeza catamaran on behalf of their friends/owners, and as a result, they are meticulous about the care and cleanliness of the boat. That is a distinguishing factor because many boat owners assign their boats to a third party charter service that staffs boats with people they hire. One degree of separation can make a huge difference in how much someone cares for the boat and your charter. Staci and Don worked extremely hard to ensure our drinks were never empty, that our food was always ready when we were, and Staci is an excellent chef on top of it. We’re healthy eaters and Staci’s salads had great flavor. Shrimp, tuna, all of it was terrific. All boats have things that break when it’s least expected. The air conditioning in our cabin quit one night. As soon as we left the boat the next day, Staci cloroxed the main cabin, swapped the sheets and pillows, and gave us the main cabin without us saying a word, which was very kind. We’d never chartered before, so this was a learning experience for us. Three nights and four days is a perfect amount of time to know whether chartering is right for you and you’ll know whether you want a larger boat or not. Even though we were only able to venture to St. John, we truly enjoyed the experience. Don and Staci are terrific.

Highly Recommended

This was my families first time in the islands, so we were a little nervous about what to do when we got there. Once we went out with Captain Don and Staci on Rompecabezas and met this wonderful crew it turned out trip right around. We took this gorgeous charter around the islands and got to see parts that most tourists don't even know about! they were the perfect hosts and advocates of the USVI. they were great at making our son (5 years old) feel so comfortable on the and and around the water!
I would highly recommend taking the time to charter with them, you will get much more than just a captain and chef.
Also, the boat itself is so beautiful which is an added bonus.

Staci and Don worked extremely hard to ensure our drinks were never empty, that our food was always ready when we were, and Staci is an excellent chef on top of it. We’re healthy eaters and Staci’s salads had great flavor. Shrimp, tuna, all of it was terrific. All boats have things that break when it’s least expected. The air conditioning in our cabin quit one night. As soon as we left the boat the next day, Staci cloroxed the main cabin, swapped the sheets and pillows, and gave us the main cabin without us saying a word, which was very kind. We’d never chartered before, so this was a learning experience for us. Three nights and four days is a perfect amount of time to know whether chartering is right for you and you’ll know whether you want a larger boat or not. Just returned from a 5 night charter with Captain Don and Staci. We traveled as a couple with our 6 year old and my father. Everything was absolutely perfect! The food, the laughs, the amazing sights and snorkeling and mostly the crew who now feel like family. They went out of their way to find the few specialty items that we asked for(sorry again Staci for having to search the island for Sugar Free Red Bull ). I was hesitant about bringing a child so young on a charter, but they treated him like their own! Captain Don taught him how to sail the boat, found the best snorkel sights and Staci made his favorite breakfast every morning and saved food scraps for our nightly fish(and bat) feedings. That is a distinguishing factor because many boat owners assign their boats to a third party charter service that staffs boats with people they hire. One degree of separation can make a huge difference in how much someone cares for the boat and your charter. Staci and Don worked extremely hard to ensure our drinks were never empty, that our food was always ready when we were, and Staci is an excellent chef on top of it. We’re healthy eaters and Staci’s salads had great flavor. Shrimp, tuna, all of it was terrific. All boats have things that break when it’s least expected. The air conditioning in our cabin quit one night. As soon as we left the boat the next day, Staci cloroxed the main cabin, swapped the sheets and pillows, and gave us the main cabin without us saying a word, which was very kind. We’d never chartered before, so this was a learning experience for us. Three nights and four days is a perfect amount of time to know whether chartering is right for you and you’ll know whether you want a larger boat or not. Even though we were only able to venture to St. John, we truly enjoyed the experience. Don and Staci were incredible hosts, catering to our every need. Not only were we provided 3 full meals a day, we also had snacks, desserts, and appetizers daily. Staci designed all the foods around our likes, dislikes, and allergies. Can't say enough about her culinary skills, kindness and conversations. Captain Don was a master of the boat. He is incredibly knowledgeable regarding the islands, the history, the secret spots to visit, when to arrive to get the best mooring buoy, the restaurants, bars, land adventures and local contacts that made this trip a great memory. He masterfully provided my 7 year-old grandson memories for a lifetime. Thank-you Captain Don and First Mate Staci for an incredible experience. Just returned from a 5 night charter with Captain Don and Staci. We traveled as a couple with our 6 year old and my father. Everything was absolutely perfect! The food, the laughs, the amazing sights and snorkeling and mostly the crew who now feel like family. They went out of their way to find the few specialty items that we asked for(sorry again Staci for having to search the island for Sugar Free Red Bull ). I was hesitant about bringing a child so young on a charter, but they treated him like their own! Captain Don taught him how to sail the boat, found the best snorkel sights and Staci made his favorite breakfast every morning and saved food scraps for our nightly fish(and bat) feedings. That is a distinguishing factor because many boat owners assign their boats to a third party charter service that staffs boats with people they hire. One degree of separation can make a huge difference in how much someone cares for the boat and your charter. Staci and Don worked extremely hard to ensure our drinks were never empty, that our food was always ready when we were, and Staci is an excellent chef on top of it. We’re healthy eaters and Staci’s salads had great flavor. Shrimp, tuna, all of it was terrific. All boats have things that break when it’s least expected. The air conditioning in our cabin quit one night. As soon as we left the boat the next day, Staci cloroxed the main cabin, swapped the sheets and pillows, and gave us the main cabin without us saying a word, which was very kind. We’d never chartered before, so this was a learning experience for us. Three nights and four days is a perfect amount of time to know whether chartering is right for you and you’ll know whether you want a larger boat or not. Even though we were only able to venture to St. John, we truly enjoyed the experience.
