LA VANDALAY yacht is a 57.00 ft long sailboat catamaran and spends the summer and winter season in British Virgin Islands. It was built by FOUNTAINE PAJOT in 2014. A refit was done in 2020. The yacht layout features 5 cabins and accommodates 10 guests. The cabin arrangement is following: 4 queen cabins, 1 double cabin.

The sailboat features 2x110 HP Volvo's 17KW Generator 220L/H Watermaker Ice Maker Microwave engines and a generator.

FOR LESS THAN 7 NIGHT CHARTERS:
For 6 nights, divide by 7N X 6N. For less than 6 nights, divide by 6N X number of nights.

Xmas/New Year Rates:
7 night minimum over Christmas or New Year's - Flat rate $32,000 for 2-10 guests. New Year's 2021 charters must start 12/28/20 or later.

HALF BOARD MEAL PLAN OPTION : SUBTRACT $150 per person from weekly rate : Includes 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners. Requires all other meals on shore at client expense.

LOCAL FARE MEAL PLAN OPTION : SUBTRACT $75 per person from weekly rate : Includes 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 6 dinners. Requires 2 lunches and 1 dinner at client expense.

The rates include:

• Private Yacht & Service of the crew (captain, hostess/cook)
• Insurance for the yacht and the passengers (civil liability)
• Accommodation in 5 private air-conditioned queen cabins with ensuite bathroom
• Bedding, towels and beach towels
• Full board: breakfast, lunch, and dinner including soft drinks, beer, wine and local aperitif (rum)
• Consumables for the yacht (diesel, fuel, and water)
• Water sports on board: snorkeling gear, kayak, fishing rod
• Mooring fees, cruising taxes, clearance and customs fees, parks fees

Captain/Chef

Captain: Dennis Tonge

Captain Dennis has been drawn to the water and nature as long as he can remember. As the only boy with four sisters, his favorite childhood memories were the times they spent boating, sailing, fishing, and camping. He then raised two boys and a girl enjoying much of the same in the great outdoors. When he wasn’t tending to business he could most likely be found on one of his boats or under the water in diving gear. P.A.D.I. Dive Master Dennis has over 3800 dives under his belt! You can certainly say he loves the sport and sharing the magic below the sea! With the family grown and the ocean calling, Dennis and Stephanie liquidated their land-based treasures and headed for the Caribbean. They have since logged over 15000 miles sailing the Caribbean and Atlantic Ocean.

While Dennis is a serious captain, his spirit is enormously playful. His sense of humor and friendly demeanor will make you feel like you’ve made a friend in an instant. This Master Captain has also earned his title of Grill Master and Chief omelet aficionado! Join Captain “D” as he shares those secret harbors of the Virgins on your next dream vacation!

Dennis loves to capture action shots of his guests above and below the water. He always makes sure the guests leave with a frame quality picture of a turtle, fish or sea creatures which you can treasure for years to come.

Stephanie fell in love with sailing the Virgin Islands when her parents chartered a sailboat in the B.V.I.s at age 12. In her words, “It never quits being magical” immediately after college she was hired by a cruise line as staff in the Purser’s office. Consecutive one-week cruises for a straight 8 months didn’t put a damper on her enthusiasm for the industry, she moved into marketing and even spent 2 years using her industry knowledge for the production of a travel T.V. series, Tourific Destinations on the Discovery channel. Years later when Dennis suggested he wouldn’t mind giving up a land based home for sailing, she was “All In! ”

Travel and sailing combined with Stephanie’s talents in the culinary arts have been a dream come true! Her attention to detail in the galley is unparalleled. On board guests quickly nicknamed her “Saucy Stephanie” as she has an uncanny ability to combine flavors to please the palette! She also has a wide variety of gluten free, pescatarian and vegetarian delights!

Captain D and Stephanie love to share their enthusiasm for the places and people of the Virgin Islands, and they look forward to introducing their guests to this beautiful part of the world while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Dear Stephanie & Dennis –

Just wanted to write you a note to tell you much we enjoyed our sailing charter with you guys! Pat and I had been looking forward to this trip for a couple of years. It took us a long time to put together a group of people that we thought would be compatible and then convince them to go with us. We were anxious about how the group would get along, and what it would be like to spend an entire week in such close quarters, with the added unknown of a captain and first mate whom we’d never met. But WOW you guys just fit right in with the group and made us all feel like we had known you for years and made us feel right at home on your lovely sailboat!

The boat itself was decorated with such charm and the furnishings had such a lovely Caribbean feel. Every picture seemed to have its own story and we could tell that the boat was decorated with love in every detail.

As the meals were served each day, I always marveled at how Stephanie was going to outdo herself at the next meal. Somehow she did it every time tho! The meals were absolutely delicious and every day brought a new spice or food combination. I am still impressed that you could prepare meals that were so delicious every single time we sat down. And they were always plated so beautifully too!

Somehow, Stephanie snuck into our cabin every day and made the bed and straightened our messes. This was always such a nice surprise! I just don’t know how you kept track of who was where all of the time so that you knew when you could take care of our cabins.

Another amazing thing was that each day we arrived at another island with Captain Dennis describing our choice for the day: Do you want to swim? Snorkel? Hike? Stay onboard and read? Go to shore for a walk on the beach? Visit the local scene of food or shopping? All of the above? Dennis also seemed to know just what we wanted and when we wanted it. The daily afternoon painkiller helped round out each day of fun and relaxation.

It was great to enjoy your sailing expertise and watch you take care of your yacht.
It was so great getting to know you guys and having you join in the fun. The fact that the two of you love your job made our vacation spectacular. You guys are the Rockstars on Steroids!!!

Wow! What a great trip. I think the best ever for Ava and me. As you are aware we had been on several bare boating trips in the BVI , Grenadines and Tahiti, but this trip takes all the concern or worry about sailing out of the equation. Dennis, your knowledge of the area and the boat was fantastic and eliminated all worry or concern. Which means complete relaxation. Stephanie is a very talented chef and the food was incredible. You guys simply waited on us hand and foot and we could have not felt more pampered. I really had forgotten about the beauty of the water and you put us in the best spots for snorkeling, the best bars, and sites. Also, amazing staterooms, very comfortable and cool. We cannot thank you enough for an incredible trip!!!
